2 bed, sleeps 6, apartment chalet, 50m2 wooden sun terrace and a beautiful cosy lounge with log burner. 500m to centre. 50m to main bus stop for lifts.
The house is perfect for families, couples, or small groups.
We have lots of families stay and they love it, as it is in a quiet street, it has safe outdoor space, and has excellent road access and the bus stop is 50m away. It is also 500m to centre. The 50m sun terrace is perfect for kids to play on and parents to relax in the sun.
For couples, it is very cosy and romantic with a log burner in the lounge, and beautifully decorated bedrooms.
For small groups, they love the large, sociable lounge, dining outside on the sun terrace, the home cinema with Nintendo Wii.
For business travellers, or those that need to stay online during holiday, we have ultra-fast (35MB) broadband wifi and separate study area with a monitor.
A key will be available in a small locker by the front door. We have a management company in Chamonix that can resolve any problem for us.
Interaction with Guests
You will have the house to yourselves. We live in London and spend as much time as possible in Chamonix for holidays!
Chamonix is amazing, and apart from my wife, the love of my life!
Best mountain town in the Alps. Incredible winters with world class off-piste/powder, 6 resorts within an hours drive, beginner/intermediate skiing in Les Houches and Brevent/Flegere and Le Tour. Verbier in Switzerland is 1hr drive, Courmayeur in Italy is 30mins drive, and both are included on the lift pass.
Summer, in my controversial opinion is better! Hiking, biking, climbing, mountaineering, paragliding, tennis, golf, BBQs, books and beers...
Our house is also 5mins to Aguille Di Midi. The highest lift and best views in Europe - (website hidden).
Transport wise the house is great. It is 2mins off the main road that goes to Geneva. We have a reserved parking space outside the house. The main town bus stop is 50metres away. The train station is 10mins walk.
That said, much better to walk or bike!!
We had a good time at the Garden Chalet in Chamonix. The house is beautifull and it has everything you need. everything works well and it's clean. We were there in november so we could not enjoy the outside, but it looked very nice too. Next time!! W highly recommend it!
The reservation was canceled 143 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
All good! Nice location very close to Aiguille du Midi station - perfect for climbers.
The Garden Chalet was in an absolutely perfect location--just a short walk to the city center, and very close to the Aiguille du Midi. (There is also an excellent restaurant, L'Impossible, next door.) We really appreciated the lovely deck and lounge chairs, as well as the bathtub after a long day of hiking. Since we are both over 5'11", the home felt a bit cramped (the ceilings were low), but this was a bit expected given that it's in an old French farmhouse.
Excellently located, Nicola's apartment is a small, nice & cosy place to spend a few days of vacation. It is good for up to 4 people, and as we were a group of five it was a bit crowded...
That said, one must admit the apartment is rather dark and not lighted enough, and also lacks these small fittings/fixtures/components that one would expect to find - a stand [or even a chair] for the suitcases... fixtures, hangers [or, again, even chairs] to hang clothes during the night... towel racks/hangers... and more.
We had a problem with the apartment's door – it wouldn't lock, so we had to leave our stuff in an unlocked flat... The owner’s responsiveness regarding this issue was insufficient [she emailed us saying “the key for the front door does take a little persuasion”… well – apparently our logical arguments didn’t convince the door…], and the problem was not fixed until we left.
So, to sum it up – nice, not more…
Nicola's apartment is very nice and we had a great longer weekend there! The location is excellent as it's just 2 mins walk from the bus stop (Chamonix Sud) where buses to all parts of the valley can be found - very convenient for skiing trip as the distance to the bus stop is totally doable in the ski shoes! It's around 10mins walk to get to very central part of Chamonix but some restaurants and bars are just around the corner.
The place was clean, very well maintained, very warm and cosy. There is the Internet at reasonable speed as well.
The size of the place is perfect for 4 people. There were 6 of us and I think that's a bit too crowded as the living room becomes too small, and there is just one shower in the apartment.
The only problem we encountered was that there were just two towels and two sets of sheets prepared on our arrival (there were 6 of us!). After the call to the 'house keeper' everything else was delivered within couple of hours.
I would highly recommend this place!

Hi, My husband and I would like to invite you to stay at our lovely little converted farm house in the heart of Chamonix. Chamonix is our favourite holiday destination and if you like adventure as much as we do then you will love being to central to it all. With so many activities on your doorstep you'll really appreciate a cosy apartment to relax in at the end of your day.
We also have a penthouse in London that we rent out when we are in France or travelling. It is a huge, modern, 3 bedroom, apartment over looking Peckham Rye park. It has a 50m2 terrace, with table tennis and a log burner. Ultra-fast internet & home cinema. Great transport links to central London. Peckham & East Dulwich have great bars, pubs and restaurants within 10mins walk.
