  • Staying with Ed and Kim was like coming home. The apartment on the first floor of their beautiful house was the perfect place to stay for us and our one year old son. The apartment was really nice and big, with everything we could ask for. Ed and Kim made us feel very welcome, They brought fun toys for our son, and let us use their big garden and meet the rabbits! They also had great knowledge of the area and could give great advice about where to go and what to do. If we come to the area again, we will definitely stay with Ed and Kim.

  • Kim and Ed’s place was warm and spacious, and had everything we could wish for a long relaxing weekend by the beautiful Rhode Island coastline. My friends and I were looking for an entire house to rent, but everything was either too far away or too expensive. Kim and Ed’s place was in a great location and a great price, but I couldn’t get over the idea of sharing their own house. As it turned out, the spacious upstairs apartment is very private. And we were still able to experience how generous, thoughtful and welcoming Kim and Ed are — both because of a number of thoughtful details and because they stopped in to say goodbye. Can’t wait for the summer to stay with them again!

  • Ed and Kim have a lovely house - especially so on a perfect fall day. It was a pleasure staying with them - they were very gracious and helpful hosts.

    October 2013
  • Ed and Kim's place was awesome. It's even lovelier than the pictures and totally clean, comfortable, private and equipped with everything we needed. Much love has gone into the decorating and care of this spacious apartment, yard and gardens. Our only regret was not being able to spend more time spending time there!

Our hosts were friendly, gracious and totally welcoming. Wish we could have talked to them more than we did. This was our fourth time doing Airbnb and this was by far the best place/stay yet – can’t imagine finding a better place. We’d stay again in a heartbeat. Check it out – you will not be disappointed!

  • The place is excellent. Kim and Ed are such lovely hosts. It is a shame we weren't staying long enough to enjoy their gracious hospitality to the full-extent. Just upon walking into the place we decided we must book a long weekend or a week long vacation here. Excellent place, location, amenities, and hosts.

  • We had a great time at Ed and Kim's Narragansett home. We traveled with our 9 month old and all had a very relaxing stay. The gardens were beautiful and the accommodations spacious, comfortable and kid friendly. We enjoyed the nearby ocean views, local coffee shops and restaurants all within walking distance. We hope to stay here during future visits!

  • Ed and his wife have created a comfortable, clean, quiet space so close to the beach! They have everything that guests would think to need at the beach, e.g., towels, umbrellas, coolers, bikes, and things they need when that beach is rained out, e.g. board games, WiFi, movie channels. They've put a lot of thought into their rental, and they're very generous with their advice. Thanks for making our stay great, Ed!

    Response from Kim:

Thought we responded to you before, but just wanted to make sure you knew how much we appreciated your kind words about us and our place.
Too bad the surf wasn't big these past 2 weeks.
Looks like we have a tropical storm predicted for the end of the week so I will send you a picture if it is big! Good luck with your career! Ed & Kim

  • Ed was a wonderful host to us for our 3 day visit. He provided us with helpful information about local restaurants, beaches and current events. He was very welcoming to us and we chatted for a while, and then he gave us space and allowed us our privacy. The apartment,a former "man-cave" was not a cave at all. It had nice light, many gardens to look at and the pool table/dart board area got a full workout from us. The location in relation to beaches and restaurants was very convenient. Everything was as represented in his description.

  • This was my first experience with airbnb. I was a little nervous and wasn't sure how this was all going to work. It was a fantastic experience! Ed was great about getting in touch with me and arranging when we would arrive and how to get in if he wasn't there. Both he and his wife, Kim were warm, inviting and generally gracious hosts.
The accommodation was great. We had the whole top floor of their house to ourselves in a very pretty setting that was equally as quiet. Our hosts had 2 bikes for our use and were helpful in directing us to local venues. The location was excellent - downtown Narragansett. There was cold lemon water with mint and flowers on the table upon our arrival. There was a little deck outside that overlooked their gardens and lawn in the back yard. The room was spacious and comfortable. I would go back again and I will recommend this experience to my friends.

My husband Ed and I like living near the beach, enjoy gardening, good food, kayaking, sailing, walking around our great little town of Narragansett. We enjoy our peaceful, quiet neighborhood. We have many different floral borders in our yard and several organic vegetable gardens. We enjoy visiting other states, especially our children in California and Chicago. We hope you choose to stay with us while visiting Narragansett. Your stay will be relaxing, comfortable and private, with as little interruption by us as possible. We want you to feel at home and to come and go as you please. Come enjoy our Rhode Island beaches, seafood restaurants and local views. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our quiet hide-a-way. We are close enough to the URI campus, but far enough away to enjoy the ocean and Narragansett restaurants. Our motto: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
