Interaction with Guests
My girlfriend, Mayara, and I live in the apartment. We are always happy to interact with the guests and willing to share our knowledge of the neighborhood and city to help you get the most out of your stay. On occasions we have friends or family over and we invite our guests to join us.
When we are not at home we may host other guests either in the living room sleeper-sofa or in the master bedroom.
The location is quiet yet it provides easy access to where all the action is. Downtown is a 5 minute drive or subway ride away making it easy to quickly escape to: City Center Mall, Citadel Theater, Art Gallery of Alberta, Empire Cinema, Alberta Legislature, Winspear Centre for Music, Shaw Conference Centre or a number of popular bars, clubs, pubs, and restaurants along Jasper Avenue.

I had a great stay at David's place, he made me feel welcome and even invited me to his sister's birthday party where I got try homemade tzatziki and other yummy greek food! I highly recommend staying with David. Thanks again!
Rented a room from David, walked in the first day and my room was filled with another mans stuff. No one was home. There was a bag filled with money on a chair which put me in an awkward prediciment from the get go. I was confused as to it being my room or not but then another man crashed on the couch in the middle of the night, I assumed it was his things.
I Rented the room for 3 days, toilet paper was out, tissues always out... I never knew if I could use a pan or a dish so I ate out a lot.
I checked out 3 days in, only to find david a week later asking for 8600 cad for the damages i caused. He took ridicious pictures, cited damages that not only did i not cause, but were outlandish to begin with.
150 for a "lost" key I returned, 7000 dollars to repair subfloor damages from aparently another tenants spilled soda or something? 2200 dollars for a desk with some soda on it? What was the table made out of David? IVORY? Its a white plastic table.
I took my boots off everytime i entered his place, but somehow that showed up on the bill too with "mud marks" on the carpet.... He took pictures, but I fail to see any dirt.
Most people i feel on AirBNB sites tend to not leave rude comments. But I feel I need to send one as a word of warning to fellow guests.
Decent place, decent area, crazy host.
My colleague and I were here for a conference at the Shaw Conference Centre. David is a very nice host, every thing is clean and neat, we have a wonderful stay. The location is also very convenient for buses, light rail, and food. Recommended!!
Overall, it was a well enough staying for one night. Didn't get to meet David as he was out of the city. The living room, bathroom and kitchen were very clean. However, the carpet and the tables in my living room were not clean enough at least to my standard. Both tables were covered by dust :( it was a windy day, maybe the window were left open during the day.
It was a very interesting experience to get into the apartment (1st time). I need to get the building key from a locker on a bike rack, then I need to download and app called "August" (website hidden) David will send me a CODE for the lock so that I can get in :)
There was no kettle in the kitchen which i found is inconvenient at least for me as I like to drink hot tea, but there was a Keurig machine and some free K-cups for coffee drinkers :)
David is a great host, his place is just like the pictures. He has lots of friends that come and go from his place who he's met via Airbnb. It has a cool feel and comfortable vibe for sure. I wasn't feeling well when I first arrived (24 hour bug). Once I started to feel better, I had a chance to get to know David, he is very smart, & super nice.
I rented a cozy Guest Room from David for a week in mid February. It looks different than the one in the picture as David likes to renovate and reorganize this place frequently. It's very clean and comfy. The location is very close to downtown and there is parking available downstairs. There is an LRT station 5-10 minute walk from his place. Do note that other rooms could be rented as well so you might be sharing kitchen and the washroom with others. David is very personable and is open to communication and seems well traveled. Any issues or questions I had were resolved promptly. I would recommend staying at David's place.

About the Host, David
Originally from the Cycladic isles of Greece I now call Edmonton my home. Living in the Bellevue community, close to city centre, is great fun as I am very close to all the major events. I also like to indulge in the cultural offerings the capital city’s downtown has to offer such as the gallery, theater, library, and cozy Jasper Ave pubs, especially with the Light Rail Transit a block away from home.
I am an MSc student in Psychopharmacology at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta. The research I am involved in combines genetics and pharmacology to develop personalized treatments for patients suffering from addiction and/or mental illness.
I love playing and talking about tennis so my condo is filled with references to the sport I love. I enjoy travel (especially to warm ocean-side destinations), food, music, languages and exploring the beautiful landscape that Canada offers. I have an interest in dinosaurs and the archeology of ancient civilizations.
My condo is always ready for visitors. I like to keep it clean and uncluttered, such as you would expect a good hotel space. I also have this constant urge for home-improvement so some returning guests may find the condo changes slightly from visit to visit.
Vincent van Gogh once said "The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore." I often find myself when I travel running off the beaten path and toward the "sea" of opportunity that holds the promise of some adventure.
