  • Our stay with Sara was brief, but enjoyable. Their home is beautifully furnished and situation in an adorable and idyllic neighborhood. The place was a little bit farther outside of where we were hanging around for our trip, but as soon as we figured out the bus, we were able to get pretty much everywhere we needed in about 20-30 minutes tops. Please note that the times listed are referring to minutes in drive time. As New Yorkers, we automatically were thinking walk time, but it all worked out just fine. I would definitely recommend staying here to someone looking for a peaceful refuge with a view of an awesome backyard. Also, I have to mention how adorable your pups are!

  • Sara and Marcelo were terrific hosts. Sara was very responsive and accommodating of the last minute request, and had great tips for places to visit in Richmond. The guest room was clean and sunny, and full of character, much like the rest of the house. Very pleasant neighborhood, with a nice set of restaurants and a coffee shop a couple of blocks away.

I would gladly stay with them on my next visit.

  • I was hoping to chat more with Sara and Marcelo. They are crazy cool and fascinating individuals. But I came in town for business and didn't have much down time o hang out. The house was tidy and charming in the ascetics. Parking and wi-FI made things easy. They opened their kitchen to me too. I highly recommend this stay... Location, cleanliness, comfy bed, peaceful environment.

  • From the quaint spaces between spines of books to vinyls and other wonders that litter the shelves, the cozy North Side Bungalow goes beyond just a stay but a minute marvel to become lost in. The guest room bed is especially comfortable and of course the hosts were more than hospitable. A pleasant experience I would recommend to anyone whether as a local getaway or a stop for newcomers to the area. This place truly encapsulates small moments in a way which sunny drifts into the morning or lazy rainy afternoons can compliment. A quiet place to come back to after a day's adventure or somewhere simply to laze about with the one that truly matters. Thanks again for a simple lovely stay Sara and Marcelo.

  • Sara and Marcelo are marvelous hosts and great people. We will contact them again the next time we are in Richmond.

We also very much like the Bellevue neighborhood. There are several good restaurants and a nice coffee shop just a few blocks from their house.

  • We had a fun stay at Sara's cute and tidy place in Richmond. The house was lovely with a lot of personality and a nice room with a comfy bed and clean bathroom.

Sara was a great host, communicated well and was really sweet to my friend and I. We both felt quite welcome, to the house and to Richmond. Oh, and there are two really cute dogs!

  • Sara was a very gracious and welcoming host. Her house is meticulously clean, organized and beautifully arranged - had a very warm feel. Sara even waited for my wife in the morning to give her a ride to one of the cool parts of town. Highly recommended.

  • Sara was a wonderful, considerate, communicative host. The location was perfect for easily getting around Richmond, the room was comfortable and quiet, and I would definitely stay with her again!

  • Great hosts. Beautiful location & area. We had a great time. The hosts provided bikes for us which we used for a tour of the beautiful houses in the neighborhood. Great breakfast options as well.

The only thing keeping from 5 stars was the bed. I am 6'-4" and didn't quite fit. Also, it's a double bed (I think), so it's a little tight for bigger or taller people.

If the bed doesn't bother you, I'd definitely recommend it!

About
I work to live and enjoy a simple life with my partner Marcelo, our cat Drizzle, our dog Judah, and our foster dog Pedro. We enjoy meeting new folks both through our travels and as hosts on Airbnb. When discovering new places, we like to experience things as the locals do and rely on our hosts for an insider's scoop. New music, art, food & beer are some of the things we enjoy most. We also like to search for buried treasure in antique and thrift stores. Hosting has been a fun way for us to meet people from all over the United States and abroad. We are easy going and like to spend our free time taking the dogs to the nearby park & hanging out with friends and family.
