This is one of those AirBnB’s which I think are a rare find. As I venture along the Transiberian, I’m getting to learn a lot about people and slowly trying to sort my reviews out in a particular way; The Hosts, The Apartment, The Location. The hosts: Absolutely wonderful! I can’t express how much they were helpful in everything. I arrived in Kazan at 0615 from an overnight train. They were generous and kind enough to come and pick me up at the train station because they had time to do it that day, sign with my name and all!! Boy did that feel like VIP service. I’m fairly humble in things and I was a little star struck by it. They picked me up, drove over to the McDonalds where I was able to get some food and coffee early in the morning and we proceeded to the apartment. Furthermore, towards the end of my trip, I had asked about the best way to arrange a taxi back to the train station because I had yet another very early morning departure. The mom was out of town but the daughter was kind enough to make the arrangements for a taxi in the morning, cost is very reasonable of about 135 rubles. 10 star hosts and I don’t give those out easy. The apartment: The apartment is nice and it’s quite small but it’s suitable and meets the needs I had. Has running very HOT water, the heater works well and all others with little complaint. It’s clean, comfortable and has all the basic necessities that you’d need. I’m not a person that needs a whole lot so it worked perfect for me. If you’re the person that wants to cook full on meals, it may be a little challenging but I’m sure very doable. It’s a completely different standard when it comes to kitchens in the USA and those in Europe or Russia so I can’t complain or say anything negative. I did have a little difficulty with the couch bed. But that’s mostly my ignorance on not knowing how to deal with that type of furniture. When I pulled the couch bed out, it was still rolling away but I didn’t realize it until the last night around 2 hours before leaving that there are little hooks underneath that are supposed to grab it and prevent it from sliding. Again, nothing that bothered me too much as it was only me and the small part of the couch worked well for me. The Location: Superb!! There is a supermarket up the road and a pharmacy if needed only about 5-10 minutes away. There is actually a city sightseeing company that runs through Kazan; I wasn’t aware of this until later on my first day and had full intentions of doing it the second day but didn’t manage. Not to mention the city sightseeing bus has a stop literally right outside the apartment on the corner. The apartment is...

This apartment is cozy, centrally located, and happens to be above a historic house where V.I. Lenin played lots of chess in the winter of 1888-9. The apartment is small and does not have an oven, but it is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and extremely well located. Tatiana is also a wonderful host. She was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early in the morning right after our train arrived and to check out in the late afternoon right before our train left the city. I highly recommend!

We really liked the place, it was quiet (the karaoke bar mentioned in some of the reviews is not there anymore) and close to the Kremlin. The bus stop is just around the corner. Very good communication with Tatiana.

The place is great! We loved it! Tatyana + family were very helpful. They've remodeled this studio and it's really well done. Good use of space. The bed is the sofa, after conversion, but it was quite comfortable for the two of us. Nice kitchen, laundry machine, bathroom. The location was great. 10 mins or so walking to Bauman St. Maybe 15 to the Kremlin. There are busses right there to and from the railway station.

Татьяна User ProfileТатьяна is a superhost.

Гостеприимная аккуратная хозяйка квартиры-студии в самом сердце столицы Татарстана. Не приветствую курение в квартире, проведение шумных вечеринок.
