My family had a lovely experience at Sky House over Thanksgiving. The home was immaculate in every way and the property and surrounding views are stunning. We enjoyed hiking, star gazing, and lounging on the deck. We prepared a traditional Thanksgiving meal in the fully furnished kitchen. The hot-tub was great at 5:00 AM with the stars overhead and the coyotes howling in the distance - truly a great experience all the way around.
Frederick was a gracious host and really helped us out when we got lost in the dark the night of our arrival. It was a very memorable and special holiday for me and my family.
La maison est très agréable. La décoratiLa maison est très agréable. La décoration années 50/60 top. Vue magnifique.

The house was so beautiful and the perfect place for our mini getaway. We highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!
Sky House is exactly that - a house perched magnificently in the sky providing a perfect sanctuary with its incredible breathtaking backdrop below.
Sky House is utterly magical. From entering on an off-the-beaten-track dirt road to the spectacular views out over the rugged desert and the fabulous hot tub to soak hike-weary limbs in under a starry sky.
The house is actually far more elegant and interesting than pictures are able to demonstrate. The perfect rough-luxe retreat, all polished dove-grey concrete floors and low furniture inside versus natural rock towers and sprouting cactai outside. Seating areas / eating areas are dotted about the property – great for sun-chasers.
A high rock formation becomes an ideal 6.30am sunrise vantage point. Listen to the coyotes calling across the valley, chase mowhawk-sporting road runners over the stones and watch jack rabbits drink from the floo-level bird bath.
Stacks of fluffy, freshly-laundered towels, the well-equipped kitchen, excellent CD collection and the fire inside the main bedroom were excellent finishing touches.
Sky House is far enough from town to afford the amazing views and feeling of being 'remote' without actually being too far from the nearest liquor store or burger-serving saloon. Equally close to the park entrance.
Frederick was superb to communicate with – friendly, efficient and very clear. I would recommend this house to friends and family and hope to return there myself one day soon.
Frederick is the ideal airbnb host. The house looks better in real life than in photos. Location was incredible; house was modern and clean; love the tubular bell xylophone; peaceful and relaxing; Jimmy Cliff cd was a major plus; hot tub under the stars can't be beat; thanks!!!
This house is in a little neighborhood set off the quaint and wonderful Quail Springs Road up Park Ave off Highway 62. Very well-appointed, chill - Joshua Tree charm with all of the modern amenities. There are plenty areas to hang - from the full the A/V set up in the master bedroom to the multiple seating areas outside, there are several areas to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. Some spots in Joshua Tree are more remote or more typical of the area, but this is a great spot if you don't want to totally check out and need to be a bit more 'connected'.
Frederick was an incredible host! The place was extremely lovely with wonderful accents and great art! It was beautiful, immaculately clean, live-able and ultimately a great time!
Thanks so much Frederick!
