About this listing
Great location! Right on Collins Ave and one block from the sands of Miami Beach. In the heart of South Beach and shopping district. Walk to Lincon rd mall, Española way, clubs, restaurants and more.
Smoking is NOT allowed inside the apartment or building.
Please keep the apartment as clean as possible and be respectful of other neighbors and guests on the property.
Location is great- really just one block to the beach. Its also conveniently right across the street from a Walgreens and a very well-reviewed and popular sandwich spot called La Sandwicherie. The apartment is just as pictured. Some small cons include the fridge not getting very cold and some of the lights not working. It gets a bit loud at night but to be expected for such a popular area.
Some posted comments are about an other appartment; descrptions do not match with the appartement I stayed; Certainly Ivette has 2 flats in the same location; So, I am sharing my experience on the appartment that has blue bed covers on photos, with beds, kitchen and a table bar in the same and unique room and no free parking : fantastic locations, 1 block from Ocean Drive, plenty of restaurants, 24h supermarket closed by. But dirty (especially under the beds and the ground of the kitchen); the fridge was not cold, one bed was very noisy, 3 chairs only and among them, one was broken; Wireless very unstable; no lift and 3 stairs with luggages....I would not recommend this place
I would like to start this review by saying that I am an Airbnb host in Nashville, TN. I absolutely love Airbnb, and one of the things that makes it great is that it re-instills your faith in humanity in general. People take care of each other’s homes, and it is such a great and affordable way to travel. I will start by listing some of the good things about Ivette’s home in South Beach:
1)Location is incredible. A block from the beach, and in the heart of South Beach. Right across the street from a walgreens, just a short walk to Espanola Way and clubs and shopping.
2)We were able to score parking tickets for $10 a day, which was awesome (story to come).
3)The house was accurate from the photo description, and I appreciated that.
4)There was a little shop across the way called La Sandwicherie which was amazing. Sandwiches, café con leche, baguettes and brie that will rock your world – definitely a place I will return to!
Ivette owns the home, but Luis is the gentleman who shows you the apartment. He acknowledged us (kind of) from the street in the rain, but started walking the other way. When he turned around to let us in the condo and we discovered he was VERY high on drugs. We crammed in the elevator, only to find it is broken (mind you, Luis has not spoken to us at all this entire time). We get out of the elevator and walk up 2 flights of stairs in heels with our bags. The entire place reeks of pot. He unlocked the door and let us go in and luckily everything was clean, the air worked great.
We asked him about parking 3 times (he ignored us the first two) and he finally calls his friend who says he has parking tickets for $10 a day. I am grateful for this, but also want to mention that we went downstairs to meet and purchase them, and his friend wanted us to get into his tinted window van. My sister and I refused. By the time we looked up with our parking tickets, Luis had completely disappeared.
The refrigerator does not make anything cold, the floors are a bit grimey, and when I asked Ivette about elevator and internet it was a very “figure it out yourself” kind of response. I love Miami, I speak Spanish and love the latin culture, and I was grateful to have been there and been able to find a place a few months out. That being said, I would not stay here (website hidden) – it was very loud, just FYI as it is South Beach.
I appreciate an Airbnb host that cares, especially if I’m paying the money directly to them with the Airbnb app. That is my lament about this location and when you encounter poor hosts. This was my first poor experience, and I hope my last.
Adoramos a estada e indicamos.
The apartment was exactly what I expected from the pictures and description. The location was great, couldn't have been happier. Ivette was accommodating and for the price we couldn't have asked for much more.
Accurate listing description, cool neighborhood. Right next to the beach. Great host!
