Staying at Sasha's truly felt like staying in the jungle but in a comfortable house still close to the beach and the main town.
Be prepared to wake up to the birds singing, the jungle symphony and fresh tropical fruits :)
The house is 10min walk to Pelada, a more quiet beach with the most beautiful sunsets. We often felt like we had the beach to ourselves which was quite a priceless experience.
We had access to all the amenities we needed and more, and Sasha who lives across the street was very helpful with all the local tips.
Sasha is a yoga teacher and of course a surfer and took us surfing one morning and let us borrow her boards, She also took us for a long horseback riding on the beach at sunset, unforgettable! We got a chance to go out to town together and hang out with her at some of her favorite spots.
Sasha's house is perfect for a family or small group of friends in need for relaxation and beach/surf. I would recommend getting a car or scooters if you want to spend a lot of time in town which is a 10-15min drive.
There were some troubles with the internet when we were there, so double check if that is a key need for you but it allowed us to disconnect for a bit and truly enjoy Pura Vida...
The house has a great value for money. It is a very comfortable 2 bedroom place to be in and really close to Pelada beach with a nice garden. Sasha has been wonderful and very flexible with us. My only comment would be internet, which is not available, but then I guess this is a problem all over Nosara. Thanks again Sasha for having us!
Very happy to host this family, and thankful for this lovely review...
Re the internet connection; yes it is a problem all over Costa Rica with regular outages and power surges. I was very sorry not to have the wifi working for them as the power surges in this country tend to zap your electronics and I lost my router just before their arrival, they did bring a router with them but the signal wasn't as broad as needed, it was nice of them to leave it with me to use and worked to calibrate it for our use, however they made due with 3G wifi from their cell phones, which thankfully works well in our neighborhood of Pelada (not much or any signal in parts of Guiones!) I do have a new router with signal enhancer on it's way from Canada and this will correct the issue of internet for Casa Ceiba - pura vida!
