Interaction with Guests
I currently work from home some days and am out at clients on other days. When you are at our home during the day, I will typically work in my room to be able to concentrate and also to give you some comfort to hang out. I am happy to socialize or not, depending on your interest. Occasionally, I will have guests over for dinner - we have a huge dinner table that seats 13! You'll be welcome to join us if you like.
You will be near Prospect Park and Celebrate Brooklyn free concerts. A variety of up-scale, down-scale and ethnic restaurants, boutiques/shopping are in walking distance -- from one to several blocks. There is an inexpensive laundry service (or self-serve) at the end of the block with very friendly owners. You'll never want to do your own laundry again :)
You will be near the F,G,N, and R trains which can bring you to downtown or midtown Manhattan in 25 to 40 minutes. 15 minutes to downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, and DUMBO. 2 buses run down 7th avenue toward Grand Army Plaza which will get you close to Library, Brooklyn Museum of Art, and Botanical Gardens.
Other Things to Note
Most people who visit us - whether friends or Airbnb guests, say that our home is very cozy yet spacious, warm, inviting and comfortable. That said, it's not like a hotel. Think of it like a good friend's home that is really clean!
This place is a gem and a great find for: a family who wants to sight-see New York and then retreat to a quiet, family-friendly home for some downtime; staying near family in Park Slope; coming for business but wanting to feel at home; experiencing the hustle and bustle of Manhattan and then retreating to a more peaceful place.
