Kelly and her home were warm and inviting. It was perfectly located in walking distance to all the sites in Shelbourne Falls, as well as a great jumping off point to explore other western Mass and Berkshires hotspots! The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a nice retreat in western MA.
I had a very comfortable night's sleep here. Room and bathroom were clean. Bed was cozy. The house is cute with a lot of character (not in a bad way).
Location is great - walking distance to Bridge of Flowers and Shelburne Falls. Some good restaurants in the area and can have a couple of drinks and not have to worry about driving home.
My interaction with Kelly was just when I arrived. She was very welcoming and friendly, and provided suggestions of places to try for dinner. I had to depart early in the morning, so did not get a chance to chat or say good-bye.
Looking at reviews for a couple of motels in the Charlemont area, I think I stayed in a much, much nicer place and the price was slightly cheaper. Very happy with my decision to try out airbnb and find Kelly's place!
If I'm back in the area, I'd try to stay here again.
Kelly was such a gracious host, and we loved staying in her house. It was a perfect location to see the lovely town of Shelburne Falls. Highly recommended!
Kelly (and her partner) made me feel totally at home in their story-book (and spotless, comfortable) home in peaceful Shelburne Falls. If you're considering a stay here, be aware: these photos don't come close to depicting how retro-elegant the accommodations actually are. The room is a spacious tribute to minimalist Americana. The bed is hard to get out of (in the best way). And they couldn't have been more open and friendly in our limited interaction (I arrived late and left early). I highly recommend this booking for the hosts, their room and the town they live in.
Kelly made us most welcome when we arrived and we had a very nice overnight stay. The town is delightful full of wonderful artisan shops to stroll round. The flower bridge is a real treasure and well worth a visit, as are the glacial potholes. We found a great place to eat in the evening overlooking the river and the town has a good traditional american diner for breakfast. You must not miss the ice cream with homemade chocolate fudge at the drug store with its original soda bar. Our room was airy, peaceful and the bed was very comfortable. The shared bathroom was spacious and spotless. A great place to stay!
