The experience was good here. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom, kitchen, and garden were all kept very clean. There was, however, a lot of street noise.
The appartment is clean and beautiful. Domenico and Mario are very nice and giving you all information you need.
Nice place clean and good facilities, be aware that this is a guest house and lacks that personal touch that a normal airbnb stay may provide. On arrival I was informed of the €2.50 (per person) city tax which I wasn't aware of. Staff were helpful when asked for recommendations but not particularly welcoming overall. The historic part of Florence is a good 30 minute walk, longer than is declared. Overall nice place but lacking atmosphere.
we want to thank you for your stay here, but also we want to thank you for remember us and at all the Airbnb community that we are a Guest House, probably from the name of our account (Guest House L'Aranceto) it is not clear enough :-)
It's a pity that you forgot to mentioned that you came here at 9 in the morning, almost before me and you drop off your luggage and stay around here for minimum one hour and i didn't said nothing about it.
What about the city tax, it is write in italian and in english but, yes, i understand, if you didn't write that we are a Guest House how can you read that there is the city tax? It can be very complicated!
Finally, the distance, i don't know which street did you take but there are not 30 minutes walk to the historical center, if you have any doubt about it, you can read our plus then 700 reviews or you can check the google map distance.
Please, before to judge the work and the location of someone think about that behind a computer there are real persons that every day try to make a good job.
For the next time, i suggest to check, not only the good price, but everything is write.
Have a good day
This guest house is amazing!!! Marco and Domenico are very professional and treat everyone very well! We had no difficulty in getting to the listed address as it was very near the train station and if anything happened we had a cellphone number we could call any time!! I would highly recommend this place for all that are backpacking through Italy and want a perfect and very cost friendly place to stay at in Florence - Italy!!
The room was true to the description and pictures, and kitchen and garden, though we did not use them, were nice. Dominico was helpful and professional. The room is a bit of a longer walk from the historic center but very convenient to take the bus. At night the area is overall quiet yet there was often loud startling noises (sirens and engines) that it is difficult for light sleepers to sleep, even with the windows closed.
There was no A/C available, which was crazy during the night since that day was unbelievably hot.
Host was nice, but since this was my 1st time booking through airbnb and I'm not experienced at all, there were lots of misunderstanding between us, and thats not pleasant at all.

About the Host, L'Aranceto Guest House
Ciao guys! I'm Mario, 26. Born in Apulia, the wunderful heel of Italy with more then 900 km of coast, i live now in the amazing city of Florence. Some years ago I left my work like a receptionist in four stars hotels for following my dream: open a guesthouse and meet as much people as i can because i believe that everyone that pass from here can leave me something new. I like cars, books, movies, a lot of musics, discover cultures and the must important thing: TRAVEL. When i can, always on the road with my backpack, always ready to lost myself somewhere in the world! Favorite destination? The next!
Hi, I am Domenico, 37. I was also born in Apulia but resident in Florence. I like running (around Florence) soccer, rock/jazz music, Fellini/Kubrick's movies and chess.
We wait you in our guesthouse, a young, clean and happy place. Share your life with us with a good bottle of wine and if you want we will go out together in the magic nightlife!
A perfect place to stay, you will feel at home, maybe better !
