Wow! What an amazing stay in Sag Harbor. Anton and Linley are delightful and their house is beautiful. The view amazing!!!! Right on the water.
Sag Harbour is such a cute town, with so many great cafes, shops and restaurants to pick from.
We caught the Hampton Jitney up from Manhattan - an easy 2.5 hour drive.
Breakfast was included - it reminded us of eating with our family. Can't wait to come back and stay during the summer!
I have stayed in several airbnb properties, and nothing compares to this! The property is charming and magical. Anton and Linley are gifted hosts. They were so kind and helpful after my long day of travel, inviting me to sit by the cozy fireplace and warm up. A delightful welcome.
The place is convenient to the Hampton Jitney (bus from NYC) drop off point, and Linley even phoned the taxi connection for me, so that I could have a taxi meet me on the return leg of the bus trip. Listening to her navigate it, I realized I wouldn't have had a clue what to tell the taxi service about where the bus stops in NYC. Linley -- thank you for that alone.
Also, I was able to walk everywhere from their house, and Anton and Linley's recommendations for things to do/ restaurants are on point. Anton also operates a boat charter service, Sag Harbor Charters, and given his gift as a host, I'd recommend that to anyone, too.
Please don't hesitate to stay here during your visit to Sag Harbor! I am hoping for another visit and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.
Just finished a 3-night stay at Capt Hagan's home. It was clean, quiet and the view is truly the best in town. My bed was very comfortable (not always the case!) and while there were others staying at the house, it was a quiet retreat. I was very busy so I didn't have time to enjoy the breakfast daily but the Hagan's are wonderful hosts and respectful of privacy if that's your thing. I liked being able to read quietly and enjoy the view. Oh, and it's within walking distance to the Village of Sag Harbor which is a big plus. Will definitely stay again!
Capt. Hagen and Lindley were so lovely and welcoming! Theirs is a sweet old house with genuine New England coastal charm. I would definitely stay there again in a heartbeat.
The captains house was a great choice. I often travel with my dog and he was kind enough to allow me to bring him, although this is not something he regularly allows. The home itself was amazing made only more welcoming by the captain himself who truly seemed to love having guests, but was not overbearing and gave us privacy and quiet in the upstairs bedroom. Another highlight was the bedroom itself. Classically decorated as if it was an old whaling captains house. The room and bed were comfortable with an amazing view of the water. There was a cushioned built in seat in the window looking over the water. A great place to watch all the birds and boats. I would come back to the area just to stay here and enjoy the town, which of course our host knew all about. Five stars!
Capt Hagen is fabulous. He is my favorite Airbnb host- genuinely nice and accommodating. I plan on staying in his lovely home again when I return to sag harbor. He is honest and you will not see any surprises when you arrive. It is a great house withing walking distance to the main part of town. I didn't even need a car. I enjoyed his kayaks and the opportunity to make myself at home without feeling like an intruder.
Anton charming home is located in an ideal quiet spot in Sag Harbor with an amazing water view, just steps away from the town's center. Anton and his wife were very polite hosts that weren't in the way, providing us with all the room we needed. Kayaks and bicycles were provided at an additional charge (not expensive). A great weekend getaway for two.
