The space

Your room is bright and peaceful. Two very comfortable twin size beds, a chest of drawers, desk and chair assure your visit will be enjoyable. Of course, the room is air-conditioned and you have your own TV - just in case you want to catch up on your latest Netflix series...

Guest access

I want you to feel at home here! You'll have access to both the front and back decks - where you might spot a hummingbird or cardinal. Please come into the kitchen for your breakfast - perhaps a cheese omelette or a light fruit salad - I like to cook - or join me for a cup of tea there at the end of the day, sharing your photos of all the Great Adventures you had...

Interaction with guests

As a native Philadelphian, I LOVE to boast about my city and will be happy to share with you my take on this city's highlights. If you need quiet, I completely understand - but I am a very friendly person, I love to meet people and find out who they are. I am also a Reiki Practitioner and love to provide short, 15min/$15 Reiki sessions for the weary traveler.

The neighborhood

W. Mt. Airy is the BEST NEIGHBORHOOD IN THE WORLD! Known for it's diversity - of all kinds - we are a friendly and welcoming neighborhood. It is not unusual to see people sitting on their front porches sharing a meal and glass of wine. Nestled between historic Germantown and trendy Chestnut Hill, it is a 10 min drive to Main St. in Manayunk, a short walk or drive to hiking and biking in Fairmount Park, as well as a short drive or train ride to Center City.

Getting around

We are a very pleasant 2 block walk from Allens Lane train station, which takes you into Center City Philly. Or, you can take a short 10-15 min drive to Germantown, Chestnut Hill, Manayunk or Fairmount Park - W. Mt Airy offers the best of all worlds.

Other things to note

Please note that we do not serve meat, preferring a basically vegetarian cuisine with occasional inclusions of poultry and fish. I am happily able to accommodate low-salt, sugar-free & gluten-free requests. Of course, if you wish to buy your own meals that include meat, I completely understand, but you might also be interested in my $15 pp Dinner Menu - eating out can get tiresome after the first couple of days!

Hi! And welcome to my home! We - myself, my son Hayden (when he is home from college), our dog Romeo and cat Nikki - live on a quiet, tree-lined residential street in the W. Mt. Airy section of Phila. I am a RN, Reiki Practitioner (Reiki services available upon request - $15/15 minutes) and Artist. I also love to cook (ask me about the $15pp Dinner Menu Option) and I can accommodate gluten-free, sugar free & vegetarian preferences. I also love to go for walks in this picturesque neighborhood or hiking and bike riding in nearby Valley Green. Sitting on the front porch or back deck, reading or cat-napping - sharing a meal with a friend at home or in one of the many local restaurants - life is good. I look forward to sharing it with you! LGBT Friendly!

Oh! DISCLAIMER: I am STUDYING French & can barely 'get by' but would LOVE to practice speaking it with anyone so willing! Merci!
