Double room in modern duplex apartment with own bathroom and outside terrace off bedroom. Our bedroom is upstairs with our own bathroom so you have complete privacy. This is a ground floor apartment so no need for use of a lift. Parking available if needed.
The apartment is based in central Dublin, a 15 minute walk to city centre. There are many great restaurants, cafes, bars, with theatre and concert venues nearby, including the O2, Bord Gais Energy Theatre and the Aviva Stadium.
Spencer Dock is serviced by the Luas (tram) with the Spencer Dock stop literally outside the apartment - journey time 5 minutes to the city centre. The Airport bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the apartment (€6 fare one way - journey time 20 minutes). The DART station is a 5 minute walk from the apartment which will take you to lovely seaside towns such as Howth, Malahide, Dun Laoghaire and Dalkey.
The apartment has free hi-speed wifi. Guests have use of a fully equipped kitchen with their own shelf in the fridge for their food. Breakfast of cereal, bread, eggs and tea/coffee/juice is complimentary. There is also a gas BBQ on your terrace which you are more than welcome to use.
Your private bathroom has a power shower. We know how difficult it is to travel with liquids these days so there will be shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in your bathroom. Your bedroom will have ample wardrobe space and clean towels and clean sheets will all be provided. A hair dryer is also provided in your room.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A NON-SMOKING APARTMENT.
We do ask that you give a €50 deposit when you get here for the key and key fob. You will get back this when you are leaving. It is so people wont leave with the key or to replace a lost key. The key has a fob attached to it for to opening the gate and it is expensive to replace. We used to ask for a lower deposit until a recent key lost their key and fob and we discovered it was €50 to replace! We hope you don't mind! If you are from a country which does not use € we can take the deposit in the equivalent in your currency so you are not left with €50 as you leave!
PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT FOLLOWING ON FROM A RECENT MISUNDERSTANDING THIS IS A SHARED ACCOMODATION NOT AN APARTMENT OF YOUR OWN!
We are an easy-going couple with no major house rules.
We do work Monday-Friday and while we know you are on holiday we would ask that you are conscientious of noise at night!
We ask that guests do not go upstairs to our bedroom and bathroom. However during your stay in our home you are welcome to use the kitchen and living room as much as you wish.
Interaction with Guests
We do work Mon-Fri so will most likely not be in the apartment during the day.
We are more than happy to provide advice on places to go and what to see and do. Information on tours and attractions will be left in your room.
If you need us to book anything prior to your arrival do let us know and we will be happy to arrange bookings as needed.
Great location and a beautiful home. Staying with Simon was excellent - he anticipated our every need and even went out of his way to offer advice and some of his local favorites. Our room was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and Simon had stocked our room, bathroom, and kitchen with everything we could have needed! Friendly hosts at every turn. Would recommend! Thanks Simon and Siobhan!
Great stay. Clean and courteous. Lots of restaurants nearby. Airport bus stop close. You basically have your own bathroom and the apartment is set up perfect for having guests, lots of privacy, etc. Like staying in a hotel! :) I booked super last minute but Simon responded less than eight hours later. Really appreciate it!
The young couple were very welcoming hosts. Simon was fine with the fact that we ended up arriving later than we expected, and kept in good contact with me during that time. The room was very agreeable and the bed quite comfortable. When we got to talk a little bit with our hosts, they were genuinely interested in how our day in the city was. They also give a big book of suggestions of things to do in Dublin, including their favorite restaurants. They even called a taxi for us to take us to our very early flight. Overall, we had a very good experience!
Had an awesome stay with Simon and Siobhan. Great location, great room and great hosts. Appreciated the small touches of breakfast, toiletries in the bathroom and lots of hints on what to do around Dublin. Definitely recommend staying there
Sehr modernes, gemütliches Zimmer in guter Lage.
The description of the room was correct and everything is as described in the announcement. The apartment is really 20 minutes walking to Temple Bar and you feel safe even if you come back to the apartment late in the night.
Simon was waiting for us when we arrived and he explained everything about the room and the city. We met Siobhan just on Sunday before going away and she was very nice too.
Just one thing about the bathroom: the shampoo and the bath gel were almost finished. About the breakfast, you could use eggs, yogurt, orange juice, butter, milk and bread. We only used bread, butter and juice.
Thanks to the position of the room and bathroom in the all house you can have your own privacy.
We just met Simon on the first day at our arrival and when we left, but for us it was perfect that way but if you prefer to talk more with the anfitrions maybe you can choose another apartment.
My stay at Simon's flat was perfect. I came to Dublin for three days of work and was looking for a comfortable place to relax at the end of each day. The room and bed were very comfortable and the flat was only about a 10 minute walk from the main train station. I would highly recommend for one or two people, whether coming for business or pleasure. Thanks again for your great hospitality Simon!
