Manuel's place is the wonderland of Avignon! If there is no plan for being a tourist, I would definitely stay at the place for the whole journey!
The Sofa bed made me quality rest and everything including the wifi, Kitchen stuff or any other things u can think of for a comfortable stay is fully equipped!
The most important and gorgeous thing is that Manuel and his partner Pascal are really kind and positive for any question that we encountered.
The place is definitely the 6 star resort for anyone who is into a trip to Avignon!!!
First let me say that Manuel sets the bar very high as an airbnb host. He could teach a class for airbnb on how to make guests feel welcomed and taken care of. From meeting us at the train, to giving us a very thorough tour of the apartment, treats, flowers, information and maps. For those of you without an auto, like us, he can (depending on his work schedule) provide day tours of the vicinity for a reasonable price. He is a very warm and delightful person and we were happy to get to meet him. Just sorry we were unable to meet Pascal.
The apartment was beautiful with every detail thought of. And the view was amazing. Waking up and seeing morning arrive to his lovely historic neighborhood is a treasured memory. His apartment was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Manuel and Pascal's apartment gets our highest recommendation!
If you want a great airbnb experience in Avignon, choose Manuel's flat. There is nothing he doesn't have available, or could take care of. The initial briefing on the flat is comprehensive and his guest folder is full of ideas if you haven't arrived with every minute timetabled. He even has a couple of the local guides available to browse for ideas. The flat is clean, secure, quiet and fully appointed. My wife wanted to stay and marry him.
We have just left Avignon and had a fantastic stay at Manuel and Pascal's apartment. The apartment itself is perfectly situated for exploring Avignon. It is beautifully furnished and we felt right at home there. The kitchen is very well-stocked; perfect for cooking meals with fresh ingredients from the local market. We really appreciated al the extra supplies, too (like olive oil, spices, homemade vinegars, paper products, soap, etc. etc.). Manuel has though of everything! The terrace is a highlight and we enjoyed many late afternoons soaking up the sun and the beautiful view of Palais des Papes.
Manuel is the best host ever! His English is minimal (still better than my French!), but he managed to let us know everything we needed to know, with the help of (website hidden) Translate. He picked us up from the TGV station and took us on a short driving tour of the city when we arrived, then showed us how everything works in the apartment, and gave us numerous suggestions for activities, restaurants, excursions, etc. He made us feel so welcome!
You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay at Manuel and Pascal's place. We had a fantastic holiday and hope to return one day. Manuel - thanks for everything!
Great quiet, clean flat with sunshine, views & terrace. Thank you Manuel for being such a great host & for giving me so much information. The 1 bed flat has everything you could possibly want & located in town centre, it was an advantage also to have a parking space. Merci pour tout!
As many had reviewed, Manuel is indeed a courteous and friendly host. He waited for us at the Avignon train station and guided us to his apartment.
The apartment is secure in terms of safety and definitely comfortable and cosy. Everything from kitchen amenities to toiletries and towels are prepared.
The apartment is clean. No worries on that.
The view especially at night is spectacular because the Palais of Papes can be seen from a far. It came with free parking and that really is a plus because we had a rental car.
We will definitely come back to Manuel's apartment if we ever going to Avignon again.
We stayed in Manuel & Pascal's Historic view with terrace apartment for 3 nights. Very impressed by this perfect, clean and well equipped place with fast wifi. The apartment look exactly like the picture.
This is our first time visit to France. And the train was delayed for an a hour but Manuel welcomed us with his super friendly smile without any complaint. Manuel is a humorous and great guide. Eventhough most of the time we communicated with (website hidden) translate but language barrier was no issue between us. He tried his best to explain everything with us using actions. We laughed all the time with him.
Pascal was a great planner. He was very helpful with every detail of our day trip to the countryside. Although he did not join us, he called in a few times just to check if we were enjoying the trips!
We had a wonderful time with Manuel & Pascal. Their warm welcome really makes us feel like family.
I strongly recommend to everyone to visit to Avignon.

We can't say enough about Manuel and the apartment.. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had all the ammenities to facilitate a comfortable stay. Manuel could be described as an ambassador to Avignon. He met us at the TGV station, gave a driving tour of the perimeter of town and once at the apartment briefed us on simply everything. And at the end drove us back to the TGV station.... we highly recommend staying with Manuel.
Manuel is by far the most incredible AirBnb Host I've seen. He really goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and will have the necessary information to enjoy the place and Avignon.
Manuel will provide you with his own guide of the city and the region, and you can safely put the "Lonely Planet" one to rest and go with what he recommends.
The apartment is a stone throw away from Les Halles and the Popes Palace which makes it easy to navigate, not to mention the provided parking spot.
The apartment is incredibly well equipped (I wish I had more time to make use of it) and Manuel provided us with a welcome wine bottle from the region and other goodies.
Thank you Manuel, you were incredible and the apartment reflects it.
We had a wonderful couple of days in Manuel's place in Avignon. He was so helpful in the lead up to our stay - nothing was too much trouble to arrange and he gave us so much helpful advice. The apartment itself is really lovely - so clean and well equipped and the views from the terrace are incredible. We would highly recommend this place.
