Pascal is completely delightful. He met us at the apartment and spent about 45 minutes explaining the apartment, the amenities of Avignon, and local and regional places to visit during our five day stay. He and Manuel live in the same building and were always ready to answer any questions. I can't imagine better hosts.
Manuel & Pascal were superb hosts. They made us feel very welcome and were meticulous in explaining the workings of their wonderful apartment. It was extremely well appointed, in a great position to both walk to the old town yet be able to drive quickly out of the city. The underground car park and the lift to their floor was a big bonus. The view over the old town to the Palace of the Popes from the terrace was fantastic. Les Halles market was a five minute walk. It was just perfect. Pascal's help in planning an excursion to the Camargue area was very much appreciated and the information he provided made our day a memorable one.
This apartment is absolutely perfect for exploring Avignon. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Palais des Papes and about 5 minutes from nice restaurants and bars as well as the superb food market. The apartment itself has absolutely everything you need. The weather was perfect the weekend we visited so we sat out on the Saturday evening watching the sun go down with the view of the palace. It's exceptionally clean and ideal for those with cars. We loved Avignon and if we go back we will ok at staying there. The hosts were exceptional too and very prompt as well as helpful.
Pascal was a wonderful host. He picked us up at the train station and gave us a tour of Avignon. He went over in detail all we would need to know and was kind and generous. The apartment is beautiful and really enjoyed coming home to such a lovely place. Thanks to Pascal and Manuel - we had a great time!!
A superior airbnb experience. Why? 1, pascal spent over an hour with us explaining the flat and the sights to see -- very helpful and keyed into what interests YOU. 2, the dedicated parking space in the underground garage was invaluable because there is no easy place to park in Avignon. 3, the view of the pope's palace from the balcony is breathtaking. 4, the flat offers all the amenities, even slippers, bathrobes, and an umbrella. 5, the elevator from the garage is a bonus. Stay here! You won't regret it.
Super nice host, Manuel was very friendly, even with a short notice, he came to pick us up at the TGV station and gave us a little tour of the city and brought us to the other side of the river, showed us some interesting places that normal tourist won't know. He was also kind enough to give us many advice on our trip, the restaurants recommended by him was wonderful, we enjoyed a lot. The view from the balcony is stunning, the room is spacious, tidy and clean, we had everything we need in the room, the washing machine helped a lot, we had a big bag of dirty clothes after a 10 days trip. We will definitely stay with Manuel if we go back to Avignon.
I will never be able to compliment Pascal and Manuel enough! We drove to the apartment and Pascal met us outside of the garage entrance. Staying at their apartment was a dream. It was well appointed and the balcony was a perfect way to spend eating breakfast in the mornings and having some wine for the evening sunsets (which were incredible)! After our days of walking around and exploring Avignon and nearby villages we were excited to return to the apartment just to relax and enjoy the great views of the Pope's Palace. Manuel and Pascal have really thought about every detail. They provided so much information before we arrived we were able to easily plan our trip in and around Avignon. We only wish our trip was much longer!
