Broom Island – Your Private Island Getaway

Escape to Broom Island, a secluded 18-acre retreat in the heart of North Haven & Vinalhaven, offering total privacy and natural beauty. Stay in a rustic off-grid solar cottage, explore scenic trails, or kayak around the island and Mill River. Enjoy the private dock, guest mooring, and access to the island's rental or charter boats for nearby adventures, trips to town or wildlife watching. Perfect for a quiet, nature-filled escape or outdoor adventure.

The space
The cottage has three bedrooms; a master and a guest room as well as a small bedroom for kids with a bunk bed. There is an open living room, loft and dining room with large glass windows, and a granite fireplace. There is a kitchen with solar refrigerator, sink (fresh well water), and new propane range and oven. A small bathroom has a shower (with instant hot water system) and composting toilet with running water for normal flushing.

Guest access
Guests have access to the whole house. This is the only house on the island which is entirely private and fully accessible via walking paths.
