We are centrally located between Bantry, Skibbereen and Schull on the Wild Atlantic Way.
The village is a 90 minute drive from Cork City and there are direct bus links to the city. If you're arriving by bus we will collect you in the village.
The route to the village takes you past a charming little 2 classroom primary school and church. The road is lit up at night and there is a footpath most of the way making it a very safe and pleasant walk.
Other Things to Note
There are a number of festivals in the village, including the Trad Fest, Summer Festival and hugely popular Jazz Festival.
We are a ten minute drive from Schull with its fishing harbour and ferries to local islands.
In summer there is also a theatre tour which visits the local community hall weekly.
No smoking in the house please
Lovely house in a beautiful and quiet setup. Beautiful bedroom upstairs. Unfortunately we didn't get to know Lizzie, as she was not available. However, it was nice of her to agree at short notice to welcome us at 6:30 pm instead of 8, as we had originally planned. (blame the weather!)
Nice place with a beautiful view of the landscape around. Lizzie is very welcoming, and you will take a pleasant time during the breakfast with her.
The room was spacious with a great view over the lovely garden and the valley. Lizzie was kind enough to accommodate us at the last minute--Thanks.
Nice bright airy room with a lovely view of the mountains with accompanying bathroom. Location was a short walk from the town.
I really enjoyed my stay at Lizzie's beautiful and peaceful house. She is very welcoming and helpful and I really appreciated talking with her! The town is beautiful and is nicely situated between a nice city (Cork) and a beautiful scenic place (mizen head). I would absolutely recommand this place!!
Lizzie's place was wonderful. An easy walk and easier drive to Ballydehob, with its selection of pubs and restaurants. Lizzie made our stay easy and pleasant. Insisted on providing the second 'B' in AirBnB, Breakfast, which many hosts forget. Highly recommended. Thank you!
