PLEASE READ “Other things to note” before booking. Lone Star is a rustic tiny house on a Christmas tree farm. You’ll love taking walks in the Christmas tree fields and drinking coffee on the porch overlooking the pond. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, bird watchers, writers, and visitors who don't want to stay in a hotel. We're just 23 miles from the Texas Medical Center. Puppy dogs are welcome here!

The space
We call our rustic tiny house "Lone Star". It has everything you need in a very compact space with a Texas flair. The tiny house is built on an 8' x 18' trailer, and care has been taken to use non-toxic materials in its construction. The raised kitchen conceals a full-size bed, and the foot of the bed doubles as your sofa. At bedtime, just pull the handle on the front of the sofa, and pull out your bed. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, toaster oven, and microwave, along with cookware, dishes, and utensils. Holiday Acres is a bustling choose and cut Christmas tree farm during the Christmas season, but the rest of the year it's a peaceful place to relax.

Guest access
Hike through the 10 acres of Christmas trees, just be sure not to open any gates or climb over fences.
Use of the farm as a photo session venue is not included in the tiny house rental and must be booked separately. Please contact host for more details.

Other things to note
Dogs are welcome at Lone Star! (No cats or other pets.) $20 pet fee per stay.

Lone Star is limited to 3 bodies: 1 person + 2 dogs, or 2 people + 1 dog.

Some weekends there are weddings at the farm. On wedding days, for about 2 hours around ceremony start time, you will need to park your car in our parking area (about 100 yds from the tiny house) as you will not be permitted to drive out from the tiny house or drive in from the parking area to the tiny house during that time. There will be outdoor music in the nearby pavilion until 11 p.m. on those days.

You'll see all kinds of critters during your visit. Most are friendly, but there are some whose paths you may not want to cross if you venture out for a walk. Be watchful for snakes, snapping turtles, skunks, coyotes, wasps and all kinds of bugs.

When walking around outside, watch for stumps, holes in the ground, ant beds, and poison ivy. We recommend wearing long pants and closed toe shoes if you go exploring.

Tiny houses have tiny water heaters. Be prepared for speedy showers...5 minutes max!

DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH OUTSIDE for their protection and for the protection of nearby horses and Watusi cattle. If you'll be leaving the dog at the house while you go out, he or she must be crated in your absence. We'll send a request for $20 pet fee which must be paid prior to your arrival.

We are not far from restaurants and things to do in Pearland and Alvin, yet we're in the country and most of the noise comes from the birds and frogs. Occasionally you can hear the train when it rumbles by about 1/2 mile from the farm.
