The Space

Thanks for looking at this great bedroom in my apartment!

This is a private bedroom in my 3 bedroom apartment. The living room, kitchen and bathroom are shared with everyone at the apartment.

Your stay...Your room will have freshly laundered linens on them and clean towels are provided. The queen-sized bed is lofted and you have a space to read/hang out below. There is a full kitchen with all the utensils and pots and pans you would need to cook a gourmet meal! There is a shared living room for hanging out if you want to read a book or just have a chat. There's also a dining table.

Super convenient!!
Steps away from the A/C/E (Direct to JFK), L (to Brooklyn), and 1/2/3 (Connect to La Guargia) trains which can get you anywhere in the city in minutes. A couple blocks away from the Meatpacking and gallery districts. Great coffee shops, Thai, Chinese, pizza, Italian, bistros, nightlife, etc...

Walking distances:
- around the corner from laundromat
- Across the street from the Joyce Theatre
- Meatpacking and HIGHLINE PARK are 2 blocks away!
- 1/2 mile to Madison Square Garden and Macy's
- 1 mile to Broadway shows and Times Square
- Empire State Building is 15 minutes on foot

I look forward to hearing from you and hosting you!

  • Leo was a great host and her apartment is in a convenient part of west village. The ACE subway line is close and easy to use. You can walk to the Highline within 15 minutes and grab lunch or dinner at the Chelsea Markets too. We felt comfortable staying with Leo, she was helpful and fun to chat with.

  • Leo was a fantastic host! She took time to meet with me and let me know about the geography of New York City. Her apartment was lovely and clean, the linens were nice and fresh, and the location is beautiful. I would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to anyone who asked.

  • I had a wonderfull vacation and family wedding in New York, and staying at Leo's apartment greatly added to the experience. I loved the location in Chelsea, and the price was very reasonable, considering the location. The bed was super comfy, but you do have to climb on the ladder to reach it!. Leo was a wonderful host and I adored Tuppy, the sweet and quiet dog who lives there also. I would defintely stay there again if I return to New York.

  • Chelsea is a perfect location for exploring the City. Leo was away most of the time and her room mate also was hardly noticeable. The room is rather small but ok if you are out most of the time anyways. There is an aircon which you definetely need in the summer.
The kitchen is available for making breakfast or cooking and there is a beautiful Whole Foods shop only 5 minutes away on 7th Ave.
I would definetely choose Leo's place again !

  • Staying with Ellie and Tuppy was such a great experience! The apartment is located in a great, easily accessible area and surrounded by fun shops, bars, and restaurants. Ellie herself was an awesome host and made us feel right at home in her apartment. She gave us some good recommendations, and we even got to hear her DJ (email hidden) one night! Her dog Tuppy is very sweet and well mannered, and we really enjoyed his company. The apartment was clean and homey, and the bed was comfy. Good AC and a fan kept the room a nice temperature. We loved it and would absolutely recommend this apartment!

  • Clean rom and friendly welcome. Very quick responses and no problem with late arrival time.

Nice location/area in Manhattan and a good place for one or a couple to sleep. A little too dark and some ventilation sounds from the back yard for more then sleeping, but very ok place to stay for a city trip (and I really liked the high bed!). :)

  • Had a great time in NY thanks in great measure to the comfortable accommodation Leo offers. She was a wonderful host, has thought out how to provide for guest's needs and was helpful and cheerful. The loft bed might be a problem for some, but it is well-illustrated in the room profile and I had no problem with it. The room is very small but all my stuff managed to fit. Another advantage is the use of the kitchen and a living room where guests can read or use their computers comfortably. The latter can also be done from a couch under the loft bed.WiFi is really good and reliable. The neighborhood is great and so easy to the subway or on foot to the HiLine. While it's a vibrant and busy, area, the apartment and room are very quiet. Would love to stay here again when in NY.

  • It was my first travel using airbnb and I had a great stay in Leo’s apartment. Leo was not at home at the apartment when I arrived and during the first days, but everything was well organized by a friend. I meet Leo in the last second days of my stay and she was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but there was everything what you need (most of the time I was out and needed only a place to sleep). Under the bed is a sofa which is big benefit after a long / tiring walking day in Manhattan (of course you can also use the one in the living room). The room and also the apartment was very clean. Another benefit was the location of the apartment in the middle of Chelsea with subway stations nearby and also walking distance to the empire state building. I would recommend to stay at Leo’s apartment to my friends if they visit New York.

  • This little room was perfect for my stay in Chelsea. It is small, but very efficient in its use of space. As listed, it is a loft-style bed with a futon underneath. It is also at the back of the apartment, so there is the added benefit of being next to the kitchen and not having to deal with as much noise (though it's a relatively quiet place anyway). Though I didn't have the chance to meet Leo, she was very communicative with me, and her neighbor Bryan was friendly and helpful upon my arrival. The other rooms in the apartment are often rented as well, so expect to meet people! Overall, a great place to spend my birthday! One more thing, there is a parking garage right next to the apartment, so if you're driving that is a plus (and according to my NYC friends it's a fairly cheap rate).

Thanks for looking at my listing. I look forward to hosting you! I've been living in NYC for about 3 years and am currently studying at NYU's College of Nursing. I think the best way to travel is to immerse yourself in the city/town and I'm excited to provide that for travelers to New York.
