Description

The space

Dolores Park as your front-door garden? Not a shabby idea! Our place is directly in front of the park. Step out, cross the street and you are there. The view from this centrally located, top-floor apartment is gorgeous: Dolores Park and a bit of Downtown.

This is the perfect location for your vacation. Literally at the junction of three awesome neighborhoods: Mission, Noe Valley, and Castro. Close to top reviewed restaurants (Delfina, Range, Foreign Cinema, etc), cafes, night life, Taquerias, art and much more.

Just step out and the adventure begins. Begin the day with a crispy croissant and coffee at Tartine. Or delve into the many gustatory delights offered at Bi-Rite grocery, including “The Giuseppe”, their award-winning sandwich. Picnic on Dolores Park, or take an easy stroll through Valencia Street where a vibrant mix of hip, quirky, grunge are sure to delight.

This top-floor apartment, with hardwood floors, skylights and huge windows offers a sunny perch to spend some time as you plan your next adventure. On nippy nights enjoy a warming fire in the fireplace.

The bedroom has its own private deck facing south, and a spiraling staircase to a private roof-top deck. Enjoy a candlelight dinner on the roof-top, or just share a glass of wine with panoramic views at the end of the day. The bathroom is shared with us.

The kitchen is large and has a gas stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and lots of counter space. We love to cook!

Other amenities include Wifi and washer/drier on premises.

Transportation is simple: the "J" Muni (trolley) line is 1/2 a block away, the BART (our subway system) is a 16 minute walk to either 16th or 24th Street Stations, Freeway access is easy for exploring Silicon Valley to the South, or Marin and Napa/Sonoma to the North. If you like to bike, the last two blocks coming back are a bit steep, but hell, going down is a blast!

Parking: on the street. Can be tough to get a spot.

Sound: City living includes some city-sounds (the random ambulance, the dog barking in the park, and the "J" trolley passing by. For those who are sensitive to sound we provide a white-noise machine.
