We loved the little cabin and were delighted that it was built by one tree and still in the trees. It had a nice kitchenette and a back deck.We had fun at the mystery spot. We hiked and hike and hiked in nearby parks. Peder was building a new cabin and we didn't get enough time to talk with him about it, but were interested in his mill & building projects.
Absolutely beautiful location. I did not meet Peder or Lynn, but I felt right at home with a note welcoming me to the property, bottle of wine and clear instructions printed inside regarding anything I needed to know. I was given full instructions to accessing the property in advance and had no difficulties. The place is drop dead gorgeous and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck and eating breakfast looking at the redwoods! Would highly recommend to anyone considering staying in the redwood cabin.
The Redwood Treehouse was darling. It is a great little studio apartment with all the conveniences you could want. While we didn't see the owners while we were there, they were very responsive when we asked them to turn the hot water heater up a bit. The back deck is very private and was a wonderful place to eat breakfast and an afternoon snack. The residents do park under the treehouse, so you might hear a bit of noise from them. It sounds like they have some cute, small children on the property - most of the time the treehouse is very private unless families are getting in and out of their cars. We really enjoyed our stay there and it was quite interesting driving through the Mystery Spot parking lot on our way in and out every day and getting to people watch there. The wifi signal is very weak/non-existent, but maybe that's a blessing in disguise. You are forced to disconnect from the outside world and enjoy the peacefulness. Thanks Peder and Lynn!
We really enjoyed our stay in Peder and Lynn's redwood cabin! It's in a beautiful location, very close to the city of Santa Cruz while still feeling wonderfully tucked away. The cabin itself was a bit smaller than it appeared in the photos, but it had all the amenities we needed (including kitchen tools, which was great since we cooked most of our meals there) and was spotlessly clean. The complimentary bottle of wine was a very nice touch, too!
Beautiful, quite and clean! We have everything we needed, bed was super comfy.

About the Host, Peder / Lynn
Our family has lived in our Redwood Valley for the past 28 years & enjoyed living with nature all around us. We feel like we are on vacation full time. We decided to share it with other people
so they could enjoy the peaceful setting also. We have traveled the world and always love
coming home to such a natural & beautiful valley.
