This absolutely unique 40 m2 apartment is the result of a beautiful collaboration of a renowned fashion designer/artist and a team of German architects. It is a truly outstanding space inside and out, offering an elegant panoramic view of the city from it's floor-to-ceiling windows or from the lush and generous terrace that wraps around the apartment. The apartment's beauty is even merited in Taschen's latest "Interiors" design book.
Now this Parisian gem is available to rent for the first time ever, exclusively on Airbnb for short term or medium term rentals.
Available here are all the amenities one could possibly ask for: Linen and towels provided, elevator, wifi, wireless music-streaming, HD movie-projector, remote-controlled window shutters, dishwasher, oven, washer, luxurious, oversized rainshower head in the spacious marbled shower.
Located in the 11th arrondisement, this apartment is adjacent to several of Paris' coolest spots. Just a short walk will bring you to world-famous Chef, Iñaki Aizpitarte's conceptual restaurants: Le Chateubriand (listed no. 18 on the World's 50 Best restaurant list) and the Rem Koolhaas designed, Le Dauphin. This bohemian neighbourhood is home to many artist ateliers, galleries, open air markets, parks, and the famous Pere Lachaise cemetery, offering you the true Parisian experience. You may also easily discover the very popular, Marais district, just adjacent to the apartment.
To stay here will definitely be an unforgettable experience! The only problem may be that you will have a hard time ever leaving your terrace ;)
Let me know if you have any other questions. I will be happy to answer them and will do so very fast.
Justin was a pleasure to communicate with throughout the whole process. Very clear, accurate and attentive. The apartment was in an extremely good condition and the neighborhood was lovely and central. We will definitely stay in one of Justin's apartments again!
This was a great holiday to which the accommodation contributed significantly. Justin was reliable, friendly and helpful. We were provided with comprehensive instructions beforehand which made access very straightforward. Justin very kindly assisted us with any needs including booking our taxi to the airport on our departure.
The apartment had a splendid view of paris which we enjoyed every night that we were there, especially the Eiffel Tower light show. It was roomy and complete with facilities as listed on the website.
The apartment is situated near shops and food stores/cafes etc, and very close to the Metro train system, which made it simple to visit many of Paris' famous sites.
We loved our time in the apartment. The location is fantastic and the apartment itself very comfortable. The deck was lovely, with so much greenery. Being able to see the Eiffel Tower at night from the bed a treat. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Justin was the perfect host with prompt replies to our questions and great local knowledge. The listing was as described, it (email hidden) in a lovely neighborhood. Perfect for an intimate couple. Great top floor view to the south the Bastille, and to the west the Eiffel Tower is visible. The balcony is overflowing with roses and other flowers. Paradise in the spring. The kitchen has everything you could want, if you like to cook. And be sure to find the nearby Mono Prix grocery. Great nearby cafes, and restaurants, (West Country Girl for crepes, Monsieur for lunch and dinner and make a reservation at JeanneA and/or Au Passage for dinner. All walk-able.) But Le Metro is just a few 100 feet away. Looking forward to staying again. Thanks, Justin!
We stayed at Justin's apt in Paris for four nights. Justin was very kind and generous; he met us to check us in, and then spent quality time with us to share things about the apt, as well as about the neighborhood. He is a pro.
The apt itself is small, but very, very cool! Lots of great design touches, the room just feels great and the view from the (private) garden balcony was fantastic! Shower is amazing, you have to see it to believe it. Tatami bed was like sleeping on a cloud.
If you want exercise, the neighborhood is an easy walk to the 4th, 3rd, 1st -- plenty to do and see. Literally a few blocks from Lachaise. Some of the trendiest restaurants are in the hood, and I mean trendy in a good way. A few blocks from a great yoga studio. Bastille market is an easy walk, even loaded down with groceries! This area is like a French version of Brooklyn.
We look forward to coming back!!
Great flat with a fantastic terrace close to all the great places in Marais/Rue Oberkampf/Canal St Martin.. Contact with the host was easy and the flat was tidy and clean upon arrival. Perfect for a couple or very very good friends (check the pics of the bathroom..) Loved the interiors. All in (email hidden) experience.
Best holiday accommodation we've ever stayed at, amazing apartment, the pictures don't do it justice and Justin is so helpful whenever we needed.
I won't stay anywhere else whenever we come back to Paris now.
First the good stuff: Location was great! Calm, close to great restaurants, cafes, bakeries and boutiques. Justin was a fantastic go-between with the owner. We very much appreciated the great tips he gave us on eating out and shopping.
But...this apartment is very uncomfortable and we would not stay here again. Our bodies literally hurt after our 5 days/nights here. There is no place to be on your computer (checking emails etc.) without either crouching on the bed or kneeling on the floor thereby leaving you with major kinks in your neck and back. Ditto for eating or reading. There is also not enough light in the apartment. All of the lights are dysfunctionally dim. Because of that, you couldn't really see yourself clearly in either the bathroom mirror or the (tinted) mirrors of the closet. Also, the shower is lovely but a lot of work. As there is no door between the shower and toilet/sink, you have to squeegee the entire floor after each shower. Having to work after a shower is not fun! In fact, the whole apartment felt like a lot of work. Just getting on and off the platform where the bed and closets are was hard on the knees.
In summary, this apartment looks good in pictures but is not (email hidden) to live. Classic mistake of valuing form over function too much. One good thing: it has cured me of modernism!
Amazing, amazing flat - fantastic design detailing throughout and beautiful balcony with views over Paris. You can even see the Eiffel Tower from the shower.
Great location and bang next door (email hidden)illiant choice of stay and would highly recommend.
Everything was ok!
Justin gave me all the instructions for the apartment.
The location is perfect and well connected with the city, for our business and for evening too.
Metro station is very close and you have an "inconturnable vue" on Paris.....
The apartment concept is very "modern": a really really open space.
We will try to book this once again for our next trip in Paris.
Thanks for everything.
