This is one of 3 properties in the same neighborhood that I host guests in, with similar decor and amenities. When booking a Private Room, you will be staying in one of them. I will give you the exact address as your reservation dates approach. I very much look forward to hosting you, and I want to make your stay here in Atlanta the best it can be! Tracy
Have lived in the neighborhood since 1999. Love how undeveloped it is. No traffic jams, no one is in a hurry, people take time to say hello and chat for a bit. It's old school, dirty south, although gentrification is surely inevitable :( since it's so close to downtown/MARTA/airport/highways, and the housing stock is desirable, comprised of mainly Craftsman Bungalows built in the 20's and 30's. Locals are super friendly and have so much love in their hearts, even though most live a very hard life, just struggling to make ends meet. Folks are just keepin it real around here, SO opposite of the upscale areas like Buckhead.
yes, we are 2 blocks from the Oakland City station

The house was great very well decorated and clean. I had a car but if you don't it's right next to a MARTA station which is convenient. Tracy was very nice as well.
We had such a great weekend at this very stylish house. We didn't leave the room much, so comfy and cozy. Everything we needed was provided plus more. We even had a nice afternoon nap with one of the dogs, Pepita! Other guests were staying in the other rooms, but we didn't hear or see them except for a quick hello when walking past the large community kitchen. The backyard and patio were green and calming, lots of privacy. Tracy does an awesome job with her houses, keeping them clean and welcoming. We highly recommend staying here when Atlanta is on your stop.
We had a great experience. Tracy was very accommodating, hospitable and took our last minute request because we got last minute tickets to shaky knees festival. The house is conveniently located to Central Park, is nicely furnished and very comfortable. Got a great nights rest in our room. We would stay at her place again !
Tracy responded quickly to my request. The room was fine and bed comfortable. However, there are many occupants and this bedroom was near the basement stairwell and kitchen so it was a bit noisy at times. At a not too late hour everyone settled in and it was ok. I suggest checking the neighborhood if you don't have your own transportation as nothing is in walking distance. All things considered, a pleasant experience.
I stayed with Tracy for a little over 2 months and it was a great experience. Her place is peaceful and calm but often has interesting and well-traveled people open to company if you are interested. Her place is beautifully decorated and all can easily feel at home (especially with her 3 gorgeous and nicely behaved dogs). It is conveniently located to both the train and the highway. Great place I would strongly recommend!
The vintage bungalow was beautiful. It's just as pretty in person as in the pictures. Tracy did an amazing job decorating the place. She definitely has a talent for decorating and a really cool style that blends vintage with modern and industrial elements. I stayed for a month and all the other guests I met were really great. The house is quite large and there's plenty of room for multiple guests. I know some people have commented on the neighborhood, but I never had an issue and l was a single female traveling solo. I wouldn't let that dissuade you from making a reservation.
Tracy and Forrest provided the perfect space for my visit to Atlanta. I was looking for a comfortable, quiet and peaceful stay. That's exactly what I got. The space was beautiful, Tracy was open, friendly and patient with y delayed arrival. I would've stayed longer just to stay in that house! Thanks for creating a space that truly feels like home away from home.

About the Host, Vintage Bungalow
Easy going, creative types. We like cooking, entertaining, local, organic food, yoga, good wine, lots of good music, art, film, animals, nature, sailing, the ocean, traveling, calm and tranquil spaces, and try to find beauty in all things. We love to have fun and not take life too seriously. We enjoy hosting and meeting new friends from all cultures and backgrounds and don't really follow the mainstream of American culture much at all. We love to buy houses and fix them up. We have quite a few places where we host guests and try to be as accommodating as possible. When staying in a private room, you will be in a room in one of our houses, most likely, there will be a couple of dogs in the house as well, so animal lovers usually love staying with us. Our properties are in lower income neighborhoods where real, local ATLiens live. You won't see many tourists around, mostly, just typical working class folks who love to sit on the front porch and unwind as part of Southern culture. We always say hello to each other in passing, so please be friendly and observe our friendly custom when encountering locals, they will appreciate the gesture. Because we are in a lower income neighborhood, we can offer more upscale accommodations to travelers on a budget. Also, for travelers relying on public transportation, we are on the Marta line conveniently situated halfway between the Airport and downtown. Our rates are very reasonable and not subject to negotiation. Rates, terms, and policies are fixed and applied equally to all guests. We look forward to hosting you one day soon.
