My sister especially enjoyed the theatres.
" Streetcar Named Desire' was a very special and unique play actually made in New Orleans and written by
Tennessee Williams. This was a wonderful play she will always remember. Many movies are produced in New Orleans yearly and I have ran across movie shoots frequently during the warmer times of the year. My mother and I actually had the opportunity to be extras in a commercial a few years ago. This was quite a fun experience and we both enjoyed it immensely.
The horse-drawn carriages in the Quarter with the drivers giving a colorful and exciting history of the city are always a great way to begin this fabulous vacation. Everyone
coming to New Orleans should have a wonderful and unique experience. If you do need rides I may possibly be able to help you if available.
Of course guest can cook in the kitchen if they wish and have use of the refrigerator.
Interaction with Guests
I will assist as much as possible if guests needs directions or help with anything.
beautifully landscaped and well-kept.
Of course there is public transportation (taxis, buses, etc.) When I am available I will often give rides to the French Quarter and different locations and pick up at the airport and return. This is a courtesy at no charge but tips are greatly appreciated to compensate for the gas and considerable time involved.
Other Things to Note
Children are welcome at no charge.
Pets are fine if they are well behaved and house trained. Please give me a 24 hour notice so that I can prepare the room properly. I have also added some great sport channels on my cable and we actually were able to see a very important soccer game in London. This is great if you are a sports fan and have a special game you would like to see.

assistance or help please call me 24/7 on cell ph(phone number hidden). Smoking
is allowed outside under my covered patio where you can sit and relax and
enjoy the beautiful garden.
We loved staying with Linda. She immediately made us feel very welcome and at home. Furthermore she very kindly drove us around some interesting areas of New Orleans and picked us up from a bar one evening (for which we made a contribution to cover her fuel costs, etc.). Lovely breakfast, nice bedroom. Finally Linda managed to organise for us to view the Championship Final on her television which we are pleased to say Norwich City won!
Linda picked me up from my conference hotel; what a nice change of pace from the sterile hotel to get to her place and be greeted by a home-y gift bag and handwritten card! The Angel Room I stayed in was lush, with the most comfy plush bedding. There was even a selection of robes for guests! I chose the red plush one.
During my two-night stay Linda drove me wherever I wanted to go. She was willing to pick me up from the French Quarter as late as 2am (but I didn't get home that late!). If you do want to take a cab, it's just $15 with tip.
I am usually a very private person but Linda and I got along so well that we ended up spending the day together Saturday, going to a nearby Swamp tour that she recommended on the bayou, a local lunch in a fish market you'd never usually see as a tourist, and a consignment shop in the German town of Gretna. Then she drove me to the airport.
Algiers is a nice switch from the city; Sean Penn and Christian Bale were shooting a movie there.
Pics and profile are accurate. Linda also does pet sitting so I was lucky enough to share my stay with two pugs!
Stay with Linda if you want a nice change from a boring hotel! I hope I see her again; she is a lovely person and truly loves running her business. She is always thinking about ways to decorate and way to please guests.
Linda was a awesome host. I can't thank her enough for her hospitality. She picked me up and took me to the airport. When I arrived she had breakfast and bag of chocolates waiting for me. My room was so cozy with anything I needed. She also had these mini wine bottles for her guest which was so cute.
She had drove me to the French quarter anytime I needed to and picked me up anytime I wanted to even when it was late at night.
As being in New Orleans for the first time she gave me some great tips on how to get around and where to go. She even washed my pants for me as a quick emergency when I came back from the French quarter and someone had spilled a drink on me. She really made you feel like you were at home and gave you anything you needed.
I definitely would recommend Linda. She will make your New Orleans experience so pleasurable.
We felt very welcomed, the pics are accurate, and we felt very safe and comfortable in the neighborhood. She had other guests while we were there but we did not hear them at all.
The description of Linda's listing and the positive comments here matched my experience staying at her home in New Orleans. Linda went out of her way to make sure that I had a wonderful visit to the city, which, in my case, meant a mix of enjoying the wealth of things to do and also having time and space to do my work. As noted, the bus stop is quite close to the house, though Linda was very generous giving rides to and from different sites and parts of town, and she knew of many different attractions and was always interested in learning about new things to enjoy in the city. She provided rides to and from the airport, a clean and inviting room, and a generous breakfast every morning. It was very nice to get to meet her and I had a wonderful visit in large part because of her kindness and generosity and her open efforts to make sure that I had a great time.
Linda was truly a gracious hostess. She has a lovely home and went above and beyond to make my stay in New Orleans safe and comfortable. I hope to stay with Linda next time I visit New Orleans.
Linda was as a perfect a host as one can possibly expect. This was easily the best booking we have ever made through Airbnb. Linda's is a gracious and wonderful host. Her home is very comfortable and the breakfast table is laden with food. Even though her house is a little away from the sights, the gated community where she lives is quiet and peaceful and just the place to be to unwind and get ready for another busy day in NOLA. However, Linda always dropped us off in town in the mornings and was always full of suggestions of what we could do during the day. I would definitely not stay anywhere else in New Orleans.
