Our stay in Jack and Caroline's house was very pleasant. The room was spacious, very clean, and well appointed. Water, french press, and tea were provided and a nice touch. They've clearly put a lot of love into the space/house and it shows!
Caroline and Jack were very warm and inviting. The room itself was nice and accurately described in their posting. Their central location was great for walking around downtown Charlottesville and made for very easy drives out to Monticello and the surrounding vineyards.
I would definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone else considering travelling to Cville.
Caroline and Jack are friendly, helpful and welcoming. The house is charming, quiet, very clean and in an excellent location for exploring Charlottesville on foot. We hope to stay here again someday and would certainly recommend this listing to anyone.
Our third time staying in this charming, perfectly located home with this lovely couple. It's become a part of our Charlottesville experience that we look forward to as much as any other part of the trip. Highest recommendation to anyone looking for a place to stay in Charlottesville.
We had a great time staying with Caroline while we spent New Year's Eve in Charlottesville. She was welcoming, the room was elegant (as advertised), and the location was unbeatable. It's a short (less than 5 minute) walk to the downtown mall where we spent the evening. I'd highly recommend staying with her if you get the chance.
I recently stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely time. Caroline and Jack are most welcoming. The house is lovely in a shabby chic way and the location is perfect for its proximity to the downtown mall. i
Caroline was simply a wonderful host. Her advice on Charlottesville, places to dine, points of interest, etc was very useful, inspired and delivered with charm. It's also evident that Caroline goes out of her way to make the accommodations comfortable and clean, even adding a special touch, such as the French press coffee in the room. We'd easily consider a return trip.

We are a young couple building a meaningful life together in lovely Charlottesville! I am an Ayurvedic Practitioner ("Ayurveda"-the world's oldest living system of medicine and healing from India) focusing on nurturing "wholeness," health, and balance through holistic nutrition and lifestyle therapies. Our house provides a centre for healing and rejuvenation where I offer Nutrition & Lifestyle consults, seminars and workshops, and week-long wellness immersion retreats. As a passionate cook, I can usually be found in the kitchen creating vibrant vegetarian dishes and healing tinctures. My fiancee, Jack, is an entrepreneur. He loves good books, music, culture, and is incredibly knowledgeable about, and impassioned by, film. He also has an uncanny ability to uncover interesting history about forgotten places and roads. We are so poised that our home allows us to bring our passions for health, beauty, and culture together in an environment which supports that. As hosts, we are happy to allow as much or as little privacy during your stay as you like, and we are always on hand to field any questions. As we have both traveled and lived in different places, we have a grasp of what makes a visit and stay comfortable. I am originally from Charlottesville, and Jack has lived here on and off for many years. Together, we can provide a great breadth of recommendations and resources for your visit!
