Rates: To see the rate for your stay, enter your dates and number of guests (including children, infants) to the right. Monthly rentals are only offered in the off-season (Oct, Jan, Feb, Mar).
The apartment is accessed by a keyless lock. You will be assigned a four-digit code. Laundry, BBQ and patio are shared space with the owners.
Interaction with Guests
Our apartment is half of our house, so we are close by. We like to give guests their privacy, but we are available any time for questions or needs.
Seattle is among the most active cities in the U.S. and Green Lake is Seattle's hub for recreation. Circling the lake is a walking/running/wheels trail 2.8 miles round trip. The park offers tennis and basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields, golf course, public swimming beaches, boat/kayak/paddle board rentals, and a theatre. The trail is also a great place for people watching and the best way to access many restaurants and shops lining the lake.
Just around the corner from beautiful Green Lake Park, 10-minute drive to Downtown and University of Washington, and a short 2-block walk to city bus stops. One block to restaurants along the lake, and two blocks from a natural organic foods market.
Other Things to Note
Kids: To be honest, our apartment is not very kid-friendly, especially for children under 8. We don't have a bathtub, our eating space is over carpet, and nothing is kid proofed. We don't have kids, so we have no kid accessories. We find that small children often run wherever they go, and heavy footsteps carry upstairs to our space, as well as other loud noises. Kids also typically bring a measure of extra cleaning. All that being said, we have been pleasantly surprised by several guests with small children who were quiet and clean! So we do welcome children and infants, and they do count as additional guests in our rate calculations.
To Fee or Not to Fee: We used to charge a cleaning fee for each stay. However, we found that 90% of guests automatically cleaned up before checking out and it was making our rates confusing. So instead, we have a Cleaning Checklist that guests are asked to complete before checking out. It allows us to quickly get the apartment ready for the next guests. For guests that choose not to follow the cleaning list, we charge a cleaning fee of up to $50.
Supplies: We provide you with enough toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, coffee, tea and garbage bags for your stay. We do not provide shampoo, body soap or other toiletries, but there is a small collection left behind from other guests. We have had a few requests for bar soap, but we find that there is always a piece leftover that gets thrown away. If you like bar soap, pack one in your travel bag that you can take back home with you.
