Interaction with Guests
We don't live on the farm, but 15 minutes away the other side of Carron village. We are always here to greet our guests and show them around the caravan and bathroom and explain about the area. Chris comes to the farm daily to work and if our guests need any help with anything we are very happy to help!
Other Things to Note
Minimum stay 2 nights
Please check in by 6pm. We don't have any 'house rules' as such! As we are a working organic farm we ask that our guests respect the land, animals and environment: If you walk through a closed gate, please close it after you. Please don't litter and no burning plastic!
We had an amazing two nights in the Burren. The camping spot is in a lovely secluded spot to the back of Julia and Chris' farm ensuring complete privacy and relaxation. The van itself was great and even though I'm quite tall, was very comfortable for the two of us. We met Julia on our first day and she was extremely friendly and gave us some great tips on what to do and where to eat in the local area. She also provided us with everything we needed (firewood, bread, butter, eggs etc) to get started. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others looking for something unique!
This is one of those place where you don't want other people to know about yet it's one of those where you just want to tell everyone about. Beautiful surrounding, wonderful hosts, neat little camper, there is absolutely nothing to complain about with this listing at all! Julia, Chris and Freddie did a wonderful job showing us around and were very helpful with all our enquiries. Small place with big character, that's would perfectly describe this neat little camper!
Such an amazing place to stay! The caravan is lovely and clean with everything you need provided. Julia is a great host, she showed is around and told us all about the local area. She had beautiful wild flowers left out for us an had left brown bread and delicious organic eggs for us to eat. Chris had a fire lit for us to cook on. The area is a little haven of peace and relaxation, I can't wait to visit again!
We had a wonderful time staying in Julia and Chris's caravan in the middle of the Burren. It was such a peaceful location, and what beautiful setting! Surrounded by the wildflower meadow and limestone. Thanks for the warm welcome and the opportunity to sample some of the locally made cheeses which made for a perfect dinner with some sausages cooked on the fire outside! The caravan itself provided a perfect haven, with warm cosy duvets and plenty of vintage charm! Thanks again for letting us stay!
The Burren is a magical place, and staying at Julia and Chris's caravan really gives you the chance to experience it to the full. Chris and Julia gave us some great advice on things to do/see in the area and I love the personal touches that they have given to the caravan and the area around it.
A truly great experience all round. We hope to be back one day.
Lovely secluded spot, the caravan is just beautiful and the surrounding area is unspoilt and amazing. A wonderful place to go to escape from it all.
The owners have added lots of little touches (fire pit, candles, torches, rain ponchos, books, etc.) that all add up to make this a really special place to stay.
One of my favourite ever places to stay.
Staying in Chris and Julia's camper was such a wonderful experience! They were both so welcoming and friendly, and were so kind to show us around and even left food for us in the camper! The farm is beautiful and we had a great time hiking and exploring. Julia invited us to have drinks with her and some friends at the local pub which was very fun. Staying on Julia and Chris's farm was very relaxing and definitely a highlight of our trip.
