About this listing
Fab location in scenic Cow Hollow/Pac Heights, in a quiet ally, surrounded by trees, ferns and geraniums. A peaceful respite in a magical neighborhood.Short walk to restaurants, shops, beach, views and parks. Within steps of major bus lines.
Condo with a uniquely secluded vibe but is one block off one of the most luxurious, scenic, lively and safe neighborhoods in the city.
--Cozy queen sized bed with down comforter and a wide and comfortable sofa that can also sleep one very comfortably.
--a non-shedding dog lives here so while there will not be dog fur, nontheless, not ideal for allergy sufferers.
--Well equipped kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, disposal, coffeemaker, and everything you need to make a great meal, including staples and condiments.
--I can provide information about the neighborhood restaurants, shops, sights, recreation and so on. I've lived in San Francisco for 13 years and know not only every corner of the city but also the surrounding areas.
Private deck for chilling and watching the hummingbirds and wild parrots.
Wireless internet, Smart TV, Dish Satellite. Sonos speaker and system with Pandora (connected through TV).
--Full bathroom with tub/shower and fan and window that opens.
-- A block away from the street noise so very quiet at night for sleeping. But full disclosure--It is a ground floor condo in an old wood-frame building, typical in San Francisco. Footsteps and creaky floorboards from upstairs are audible so if that will drive you crazy, this place is not for you. However, there is little to no stereo or TV sounds audible from upstairs
Strong wireless internet, Smart TV, all appliances and cooking utensils, linens and towels, books, deck, parking spot. I have a ton of CDs you are welcome to use-- jazz, indie, classical, country-- just bring your portable device to play them.
Interaction with Guests
I am always available by text, phone or email before and during your stay. I will respond as quickly as possible. My cell phone is (phone number hidden) and I respond to texts and voice calls.
Best part, in my opinion! Poised in walking distance to several distinct and wonderful locations--this is the most picturesque and scenic area of San Francisco, with spectacular views of the bay around every corner. People- and dog-watching galore! You will be right in the heart of the Union and Chestnut Street areas of Cow Hollow Marina areas, which is a destination area, with many exquisite dining, coffee, and cocktail places and fun sports bars. Pacific Heights "high street" area on Fillmore is a 15 minute walk up the hill. For shopping, much that is high end but with an earthy blend of shops that offer unique, excellent value apparel, antiques or mid-century furnishings, consignments from some wealthy ladies with amazing taste.
The nightlife and brunch-life here is lively and mixes Michelin-rated restaurants with a peppering of dive and sports bars.
You are walking distance to a beautiful, much photographed beach (Crissy Field). The view of the Golden Gate Bridge is unparalled in the city, and there is off-leash dog beach, and pedestrian and biking trails which can take you right over the bridge to Sausalito. There is another park with free tennis and basketball courts a ten minute walk up the hill in Pacific Heights--panoramic views of the city. The Presidio Park which is huge and full of eucalyptus trees, more tennis courts, and a vast network of trails is another ten minute walk in a different!
For driving or cycling, you can in ten minutes cross the Bridge and be in glorious hiking and cycling terrain-- Mt. Tam, Marin Headlands, as well as cute Marin towns like Sausalito, Mill Valley, and Larkspur. These are all afternoon trips.
Free off street parking!!! Rare in this city. Important-- this is for compact cars only, and be forewarned, it's a slightly tricky spot to get into--typical of San Francisco-- but totally doable for able drivers in compact vehicles.
A major advantage of my place is the proximity to MUNI, the bus system in San Francisco. It's accessible within a few hundred yards of my condo. MUNI can take you all over the city for two bucks a ride.
You can get Uber black cars, Lyft, or all kinds of transport provided by folks on car shares. You can hail a cab on the street too.
For a one day stint to Muir Woods, there are buses that can take you there and pick you up around here. And lots of bike rentals which is a fantastic option, given the proximity to bike routes that can take you across Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito (and you can take the ferry back to San Francisco, and bike home!)
Other Things to Note
This is my home. It is not meant to be sterile like a hotel room and I will have my belongings here. It will be clean, uncluttered, nicely decorated, and I'd like you to enjoy my little objects d'art and books and CDs and so on, so they are here for you to enjoy and to use). Random but important notes: This condo iis not child-proofed. And in case you have dog allergies--a non-shedding dog lives here (although he obviously won't be here when you visit!).
--No smoking in the house please, and if your are smoking outdoors, it has to be at least 30 feet away from my and neighboring buildings (as per city ordinance).
--Please be respectful of neighbors by being especially quiet after 10 pm and before 8 am, with volume of music, tv, and conversations to be kept soft and gentle during those hours. And ideally, at other times as well. Parties and loud music and behavior are not allowed at all, any time of day or night.
-- don't allow your guests to park in any of the spots. They should use street parking.
-- please don't contact my neighbors with questions-- just contact me directly.
A nice roomy dining table so you can enjoy your meals at home if you like (although you must not miss the San Francisco restaurants!)
Natalie's place was perfect for my dad's stay in San Francisco. The apartment is very secluded and in a gorgeous neighborhood. It looks just like the photos: comfy couch, big TV, nice kitchen and dining table for cooking, all with great style with terrariums and nice touches. My dad said he slept very well while he was there. Our rental car struggled with the parking spot, but it was doable. Natalie was really communicative, welcoming and friendly during his stay.

I rented the apartment for someone else and this is the feedback I got: "The apartment was conveniently located, and Natalie was helpful and responsive during our stay. It was spacious for my son ok and I".

A great location, private and relaxing. Comfy bed, fine sheets, a lovely retreat in the City. Quiet, yet close to the action and public transport (with parking!). Natalie was a very responsive with communication and clear in her instructions. Will stay again if possible!
Glad you enjoyed the stay, and so sorry to hear you had sensitivity to my dog. I did mention that a dog lives in the apartment in the listing but will make it more prominent in case it gets lost in all the other info. He is a breed that doesn't shed but people with dog allergies can still react so it's definitely important for guests to know. Thanks for the feedback and I hope you come back.
The place was amazing for what we needed. It was in a quiet neighborhood and tucked away perfectly.
Natalie was great. She called us to make sure that everything was satisfactory and she even left us a few pages of suggestions for restaurants, local attractions, and bus lines.
Couldn't be happier with our trip and we'd book with Natalie without hesitation.
We really enjoyed our stay in Natalie's beautiful flat. The location was perfect, the apartment itself was great, and the outdoor space was lovely. Natalie was extremely helpful before, during and after our stay, and all of her instructions were detailed and accurate. We would definitely stay with her again, and recommend her to our friends visiting SF.
About the Host, Natalie
I'm an East Coast transplant who landed in San Francisco in 2001. I'm a biologist interested in finding ways to cure chronic diseases through stem cell research.
I chose the Bay Area as my home because of the outdoor lifestyle --the nearby trails and beaches, and so close to a city that is small, but so diverse and lively. My personal passions are a love for animals--especially dogs (I have a large fluffy goldendoodle). I love traveling all over the world and have lived abroad-- York, London, England, and Seoul. As a host, I am relaxed and helpful, and want to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy my home and your stay in the city I call home!
