There is also an indoor swimming pool near the house.

While Sabrina's home is quite beautiful, it is very much out of the way and not worth the extra twenty euros you would normally pay to stay in a BandB in center of town.
Sabrina was unwelcoming and very cold. I did not feel welcome at all and this was quite apparent as soon as I met her at the bus station where she came to pick me up (although very reluctantly!).
I cannot recommend Sabrina nor the home which is oddly placed at least ten minutes walk from the city walls. Sabrina did not seem to enjoy hosting at all, again, very cold reception.
The very first time coming back home I got lost. i called Sabrina and she very reluctantly tried to help after about a few seconds she simply said: "I showed you on the map. I have to wake up at 6am, sorry I cannot help you." This was EXTREMELY upsetting given that it was dark, few lights, just on coming traffic and I was alone; at one point, I was at a crossroads and even though I told her the name of the street where I was she could NOT recognize it and, as a result, she could not then help me out with more specific directions. There was no sign where I was indicating the street "LIPORINI" which would lead to yet another intersection and then to her home.
There was no indication whatsoever that Sabrina would have been willing to meet me at the crossroads where I was lost and stuck.
This is a wonderful B&B, there are a few rooms on one floor separate from the family home below so felt very professional. Lovely big bedroom, really clean, very friendly hosts, great breakfast on the terrace. There is only one bathroom to share with other guests but it wasn't a problem at all, it's also a lovely clean big bathroom with great shower.
It is out of the city walls but this had major benefit of being able to park the car right outside. They have bikes to hire cheaply which meant we were within the city walls in 5 mins or less. The bike hire really made it for me, this was perfect and meant there was no issue being outside the walls. Better in fact as we had a fun cycle to supper and back and then around the city the next day.
Excellent value, great place. Highly recommend
The stay at the bed&breakfast of Sabrina was pleasant.
She has a nice house and you can even park inside the court.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the 10€ extra for late arrival. Doing a road trip, we coudn't manage to come early. This was not mentioned in the first description of the room but she send you an email after you reserve to notice the extra fees in case you arrive after 7.30pm.
So either you lose 7€ by cancelling your airbnb, either you pay 10€ extra, or you need to arrive early.
Anyway, the rest was good, clean and nice breakfast. She made for us a real Italian Capuccino and was very friendly.
I would recommend that place but would plan it in advance.
In the description of the bedroom there is written than check in closes at 7.30pm and needs to be organize in advance. You have contacted me the same day of your arrival at 7.30pm and if I wouldn't offer the late check in service, you would have lose the full amount you have payed for the room, because you couldn't enter in the property.
Next time, If you are planning to reach late the place where you want to stay, especially if it is not a hotel with a 24h reception but a B&B in a private house, I suggest to contact the owner in ADVANCE to double check if it is possible to arrive late.
Enjoy the rest of your trip!
We had a lovely stay at Il Ramingo. It is well positioned to visit Lucca and immaculate throughout. Sabrina was a lovely host and we felt very much at home. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
The room is only 10 min walking distance from the city wall. Ok place to stay.
This was my second time staying here. It was excellent.

About the Host, Sabrina
I was born and bred in Lucca, I´m graduated in Peace's Science and I have spent several years travelling and living abroad.
I'm running a B&B close to the historical centre of Lucca and I'm managing a beautiful villa and a bright loft downtown.
I do my best to make my guests feel at home and I'm always available for everything they need during their stay.
ABOUT THE B&B:
The B&B is located in a house from 1920, which is divided in 2 flats: my parents live at the first floor and the B&B is at the second floor.
I decided to convert my place in a bed & breakfast because I enjoy meeting people from all around the world and this time I don't even have to move to meet them, they are just coming to my place, I love it!!
ABOUT THE VILLA:
Staying in a privately owned villa will give you the opportunity to live as a local, enjoying the countryside and exploring the artistic and cultural heritage of Tuscany.
The owner of Villa Viola is a journalist, keen about art and literature, she manages a publishing house – "Zona Franca". To find out more I suggest you to have a look at the following web page: (website hidden)
Don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions and need further information.
