Thank you for respecting my Breckenridge rental home!
We felt very welcome here and really loved the home and surroundings. Pool and hot tub were a nice surprise to find in the common building. Sam stayed in contact with us the whole time and we never had any issues! I'd highly recommend this place!
Sam was a great host! He was extremely responsive over email, both before we arrived on the trip and while we were in Breckenridge. His place is extremely close to the North Lot where the Gondola picks up. We parked here every day and was a super quick trip to get to the slopes and get home. The grocery store and access to downtown are super convenient.
We loved that the house backs up to a river and the views are awesome from the back porch. The club house is just up the street and we took advantage of the pool and hot tub. I'd definitely recommend Sam's place and would stay here again.
This house is exactly like its photos & descriptions represent it. It is a basic 2 bedroom, 2 bath home that has pretty much everything you could possibly need. It is truly fully stocked with towels, linens, kitchen utensils/dishes/spices & some basics as well, like sugar, a nice gas grill, etc. ( even a french press and coffee grinder!) as well as dvds, a great selection of books, & games. Nicely decorated too. Our family of 4 adults were all very comfortable. The house is cozy yet spacious at the same time. The washer & drier & laundry soap came in very handy with 3 skiers with limited clothing! You do need to space out your showers, as after 2, the hot water needs a chance to replenish.
The hot tubs really are a five minute walk from his house in the community center which is very nice. The house is a 5-7 minute drive to the Gondola. My husband walked into town several times, as it is as close as the description says.
We never got to meet Sam, but he was very helpful answering any and all of our questions, even offered to bring over jumper cables when our car wouldn't start one morning. He was flexible on our check-in & out times, and always gracious.
This was my first experience with Airbnb, and it was all positive. In fact, after 4 nights at Sam's house, my son asked if we could make Sam an offer for it! It really did fit our needs perfectly, & was very comfortable. Also, if we hadn't flown we would have brought our dog, as the house & neighborhood are pet friendly!
We stayed a week at Sam's over Spring Break with our 3 kids and the dog. We had a wonderful stay! Sam was extremely helpful and the place was perfect for all of us to be able comfortably.
I am really loathe to write a glowing review for fear that everyone will discover how great this place is. Sam made sure we had everything we needed before our arrival and kept in constant contact with us during our trip to answer any questions and address any issues (which, by the way, there were none). The location is in a residential neighborhood with the French Creek bus stop less than a 5-minute walk up the road. It was very convenient to the gondola and the north part of main street, and the shopping center with the grocery store was about a 3-minute drive. As for the actual accommodations, I couldn't have been more pleased. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a nicely stocked kitchen, good sized living room and a deck overlooking the creek out back. A bonus is the clubhouse at the neighborhood entrance with an indoor pool and 2 hot tubs. Don't come here expecting a 5-star hotel; but you will find a clean, comfortable place that's convenient to everything Breckenridge has to offer with one of the most accommodating hosts I've ever had the pleasure to stay with. I won't even mention what a great value it is.
We had a wonderful stay. The home was clean and we'll stocked for everything we could need. Extra bonus points for the great patio bordering a stream. The host checked in via email a few times just to make sure we had everything we needed and if we had any questions. We felt very welcome and would love to stay again sometime.
Sam is great. Great place and excellent communication. I definitely recommend and would stay again! Thanks!
Hello! My name is Sam. I have called Breckenridge, CO home for the last twelve years. I have a house available for short term rentals on a quiet cul de sac that is walking distance to town, with a bus stop even closer.
I work with Breckenridge Ski Patrol in the winter and at Mountain Wave Bike Shop during the summer. My girlfriend Hanni owns and operates Studio Frame Shop, Breckenridge's finest framing facility. I grew up in Vermont, and Hanni in Pennsylvania. We each traveled throughout the Western United States and discovered Breck in 2003. It was easy to see that Breckenridge is the place to live.
Since our arrival, we have met one another and take every chance to enjoy all of the amazing things to do in Colorado. Come visit, get a taste of the Breckenridge lifestyle, and you won't want to leave either!
We love to work and play in our beautiful town, and travel whenever we get the chance. Skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, river rafting, hiking, road tripping, rock climbing, and camping are our chosen activities in Colorado.
For travel destinations, we sometimes choose tropical places like Colombia or Belize, but we always enjoy a road trip to Utah, or a voyage to the Northeast to visit with family. Traveling is amazing, but even the most enjoyable vacation does not stifle our appreciation for returning home to the elevated paradise that is Breckenridge.
Every day offers something new. Ski or ride the local ski resorts, ride endless miles on Breck's world class mountain bike trails, fish for trout on the Blue River, hike fourteeners, or just stroll Breck's Main Street to sample shops and restaurants. During the evenings, hang out and grill on the big deck out back standing directly over French creek, use the hot tubs, pools, and sauna in the French Creek Clubhouse, take a nap in the hammocks, or hop on your bikes and pedal five minutes into town for drinks and food. There are also tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, and a playground next to the clubhouse.
No matter what the time of year, If you travel to Breckenridge, you'll find lots of things to do outdoors with yourselves, other visitors, and locals. Breck truly has four distinct seasons. As your hosts, we will be here to show you into the comfortable house, and help you discover the best things to do in Summit County-summer, fall, winter and spring.
