About this listing
Stunning beauty, where the ocean meets the sea.
Vista Encantada! Enchanting views... newly constructed, beautiful luxury villa with Pacific Ocean views from every room. The villa is nestled in a Costa Rican jungle hillside with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and Talamanca Mountains. The tropical-modern design of the villa reflects the beauty of its jungle environment and embraces the expansive sky and ocean views.
In this jungle setting, the villa hosts daily exotic visitors. Outdoor living areas provide perfect settings for star gazing, sun bathing, or 'just be'. Spend days simply relaxing by the pool, drinking Costa Rica's finest coffee and watching spectacular sunsets. Once you feel refreshed, adventure waits around every bend. Canopy exploration, zip line or waterfall rappelling; or ride horses through primary rainforest; explore mile upon mile of empty beaches. World class surfing beaches of Playa Dominical are only a few quick kilometers down the road. Photos of the house can only begin to give you a glimpse of the beauty that surrounds. Indoors, sophisticated and sleek yet cozy and welcoming. The villa comfortably sleeps 6 people in three master suites. Completed in 2013, 3500 sq ft of luxurious living on two levels with a swimming pool positioned for great ocean views.
A fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite counter and island tops and all stainless appliances (gas range) is the perfect setting to find culinary inspiration. Local fish markets are moments away from Vista Encantada providing fresh bounty from the sea. Weekly farmers’ markets offer organic goodies and crafts. Don’t feel like cooking? Catering or a private chef is available for extra fees. Guest guests have ready access to the house manager, who serves as your personal concierge throughout your stay - able to set up tours, activities, massage and mini spa, transport and more.
Dominical is a quaint little town. Originally a fishing community – this town became popular with intrepid surfer in search consistent waves. Not only did they find perfect waves, they found a pristine unspoiled area. 30 years later Dominical is still a diamond in the rough. The milk chocolate sand beach is lined with almond and palm trees. The jungle covered 3000’ Talamanca mountain range makes the perfect back-drop for where “the mountain meet the sea.” Unpaved roads host a surprising number of restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Ocean side artisans and vendors sell handmade memorabilia. Things move a little slower here on the coast, and that’s the way we like it. “Pura Vida!”

As much or as little as you need.
Please note - this area of Costa Rica requires four wheel drive.
We stayed for 2 nights in Vista Encantada and Kelley was an amazing host helping us with recommendations on the area. The house is perfect for 6 people with an amazing view from the terrace and pool.
The property is spread out over 3 levels and provides the right balance between privacy of the spaces and a large communal area with a nice large table at which to enjoy meals together.
The magic of this place is it's location overlooking the forest and horizon - but better than this, is the designer's appreciation for allowing each room to partake in the enjoyment of the sunrise, sunset or daily sounds emanating from the forest (birds chirping, toucans visiting the trees nearby, howling monkeys).
The beds were super comfortable and all 5 family members in the house rated this a fantastic way to end a day each night - in particular after a full day of activities such as being under the sun all day or surfing for hours on end.
Dominical is a sweet little slice of what Costa Rica has to offer - still not totally whitewashed by tourism so if you do stay here keep in mind that it will be largely self-catered and the typical luxuries of more developed towns don't exist. But, why come to Costa Rica to not get away from all of that?
We loved Vista Encantada - in the jungle with gorgeous views and a comfortable space! The house was clean and very well taken care of. Kelley was easy to get in touch with and coordinate with. The kitchen was well equiped, water pressure in the shower was great, and overall it is a fantastic place to stay with three bedrooms. The bedroom downstairs has windows on both sides for 180 views. The bedroom upstairs has its own little porch/terrace with phenomenal views. Each of them are a great size. There was also wifi in the house.
Of note, there are air conditioning units in each of the bedrooms, but nothing in the general living space, kitchen, etc. During the day, this means it gets really warm in the house. Also, the drive up to the house definitely necessitates 4-wheel drive.
We would absolutely recommend the house for a stay!
Everything went really good. We enjoyed a lot our visit to Vista Encantada. The apartment was clean and extremely comfortable.
We stayed at Vista Encantada. We arrived late and Kelley was there to take us to the property. Kelley was very friendly and helpful. The house was beautiful, clean and had amazing views! The beds were very comfortable and a private bath in every room. It was great to have a washer and dryer to wash out clothes after traveling for a week. The house is located up a rocky, dirt road so a 4x4 is a must!!! Location is close to many activities and beaches.Kelley was very accommodating and helpful! We would definitely stay there again.
We had a fantastic stay at Vista Encantada! The pictures can't show how impressive the view from this house is! This villa located at 250 meters above the sea levels is surround by nature and jungle! There is nearly no visible neighbors, making the place really private, and we loved it! A few minutes away, there is a big waterfall where you can swim! In the area, we saw lots of life : animal, bird, insect. It was just incredible!
The house has 3 big bedrooms all with king beds and private bathrooms. There is also an additional sofa if you need it. The kitchen is well equipped, the living room is huge and Internet/TV were working very well. A water filter was making the water drinkable for us, which was really convenient.
Only a small note to let you know that the road to reach the house climbs a lot, and it is made out of dirt. I feel that a 4x4 car is pretty necessary to get there without too much pain.
