House Rules

I rent the apartment in full (room+2 bathrooms+sitting room+kitchen) only when I am in Rome or away from Córdoba, and almost for the same cost of the room only. I don't mind opening the entire place to my guests but I reccomend them to be careful with furniture because I have a lot of Antique pieces and they can break easily.
Also, my library is free access and I am happy if you take books but would ask you to return them to their place when done reading them.

When I am at home (generally in the Spring), however, I can only offer a B&B solution for one double room (two 1 x 2 meters beds which can either be separate as twin beds or be joined for a large bed).
In this case we will share the house and each of us (me and the guest/guests) will have his/her/their own bathroom.
I am happy to leave you the sitting room in the morning until 12,30, so that you enjoy the space, light and view having breakfast there until 12.30. After that hour however, the room should be arranged and left so that I can work, as I use it as my studio.
Off course if I am not home and am giving clases or even away from Córdoba for work, you are most wellcome stay all day in the sitting room, and to cook your meals at home, but when I am in the house I prefer to set hours for the sitting room so that we can both enjoy it, and that we do not interact too much in the kitchen because the space is limited.
I am also happy to prepare your breakfast early in the morning (I must work early so I prepare things early), and leave it ready for you, but you would need to do the last Little things when you wake up.
In case you prefere preparing your own breakfast with ease and at your preferred time, you can do so, from 8 to 12.30 am
In any case, I fill the middle drawer of the fridge with food for you (fruit, bread, butter, jam, eggs and bacon etc.: I also ask about diet concerns and allergies) and you should feel free to access it when you want and to store things there.
You should also feel free to prepare yourself light food and teas, but maybe we should agree time and circumstances if you want to have lunch or dinner at home, if I am here as well.
I love having a drink and/or a glass of wine with my guests when I am done working and sharing some time together, generally for a pause from work around 7 or 8 pm, but at night I generally work long hours.
I don't have many other reccommendation, but not to smoke in the room, and to limit the use of air conditioning in summer: which means not to leave it on when you are not at home, nor in the room, because bills can be extremely expensive and it makes no sense to loose power without using it.
Also, I don't mind running a laundry load and drying it in the small patio, but this should be considered a courtesy, and not an obligation.
I love babies, children, dogs and cats. No snakes or weard other animals are allowed.
I am used and comfortable sharing homes: I did so from 1999 to 2007 as in NYCity, Paris, London, Madrid, Bruxelles, Naples and elsewhere throughout my career as a student and a scholar, and I think I am a quiet and respectful housemate. I like being with people who are the same.

My wife and I had a perfect stay at Sabina's place!! The accommodation was very comfortable, very homely and had everything that we needed. The breakfasts that Sabina prepared for us were amazing. The location is great for exploring the city and sights of Cordoba. More importantly, we absolutely loved meeting and interacting with Sabina...she is a very interesting, sociable and generous lady. It was great to spend some time with Sabina and we felt most welcome during our stay. I HIGHLY recommend Sabina as a host!!

The smell of fresh flowers welcomes you into Sabina's home. The apartment is decadent with beautiful and lavish tapestries that mimic the flowers perfectly placed in the open window. The apartment is a dream scape and host herself is something magical. Sabine is sweet in nature, a fabulous cook, and very informative. The location can't be beat with sweet little streets winding themselves all over Córdoba. Staying with Sabina in her lovely home was the highlight of my trip to Córdoba

Sabina was a wonderful host. From the very first moment we felt at home. The room, the inspiring flat, the atmosphere – everything was absolutely beautiful. She prepared a delicious breakfast with tomatoes, fruits, homemade orange jam, Italian coffee ... – it was always a feast for our eyes as well. Thank you Sabina for your warm welcome, your friendly nature and hospitality, your fine recommendations and the enriching conversations we had. We can definitely recommend staying with Sabina. Thanks for the wonderful time we had at your home!
