Description

Cosy studio flat, with fabulous natural light and a huge terrace, overlooking the old town. Good for a couple (it can accommodate a small child. For an extra adult just ask please). It has a spleeping area with double bed and a sofa, a small kitchen, with cooker, microwave and fridge, a bathroom and a spacious terrace (28 square metres). The flat is on a 3rd floor (with lift), located in the residencial part of town (it is not a touristic complex), so you will be socializing with the locals. The total area of 60m2 is 30m2 for interior and 30m2 for the terrace. Bed linen, bath/face towels provided as well as beach towels and parasol/umbrella.

It is located 350 mtrs from beaches and 150 mtrs from the town centre. The Cultural Centre of Lagos is just round the corner, as well as the Museum and Santo António Church. There is a small grocceries shop and a German bakery, right there. You will not need a car!! But if you do have one, than there is a car park 150mtrs away.

There are plenty of restaurants about, shops, bars and the cinema has just reopened (films in English). Round the corner you can find a surf centre and rent a bicycle. The atmosphere in town is very friendly and easy going. In July and August it can be too lively and a little bit noisy at night. If you are within this holiday spirit, you'll enjoy it!

There is a train station in Lagos, with a railway that goes all the away along the Algarve region. There are also coaches, town buses and taxis. You can go for boat trips as well. There is plenty to choose from!

I think that the good thing with this studio flat is that you don't need a car. From Faro/Lisbon airport catch a train or a coach. If I am not too busy I will pick you up from the station, if you like.

I live in a small village (Bensafrim), 9 kms away from Lagos. So guests have entire privacy in the flat. I am always around for whatever you need.

Here's some instructions if you are driving from Faro to Lagos:

Coming from Faro I advise you to take the motorway A22 because the N125 is a very busy road.
So taking the motorway exit in the last exit to Lagos (not the one to Lagos Marina), to Sagres. Then you will get into a roundabout. Continue taking the second exit. Then another roundabout. Take the last exit into Lagos. You are getting on N125. Then another roundabout (we love roundabouts!) continue in front passing Intermarché on your right. Another roundabout continue always on N125. Then the next roundabout is the one with a very big black ball. Take the last exit and right there you can see the free car park.
If you take the N125 just follow the main avenue in Lagos along the river, then up past the Firebrigade quarters until you find the roundabout with the big ball. And there you are.
To walk from the car park to the flat: go down the road from the car park. Then turn second left ( Spar supermarket in front) until the little roundabout. There take first to the right towards the arch and into the old town. There continue straight on through Rua Lançarote de Freitas until you find Travessa do Mineiro on your left. There you are!
Call/text if you need help.
Have a pleasant journey to Lagos.

If you would like to bring an extra person, do contact me please.

I'm a mother of 3 children (15, 14, and 11) and a Portuguese/English teacher. I mostly teach Portuguese to foreigners, whilst raising the kids. I've traveled the world when I was a young girl ( in my other life, before I became a mother). Right now I am on an educational mission! When that is over, I'll be back on the road.
