Best stay in Peru... Juan Carlos was very attentive, and his staff were more than happy to help and make us feel at home. The bungalow was very cute, comfy and clean. The gardens are lovely, and the dogs very friendly! Urubamba itself is a good place to visit and the transportation is very cheap if you decide to take a trip to one of the nearby towns. Definitely try Kaia restaurant for lunch or dinner - should be number 1 on TripAdvisor despite the higher placed restaurants. Breakfast at Juan Carlos is great, including freshly brewed Italian style coffee. Thank you Juan Carlos for a great stay. :)
My husband and I enjoyed our time at the bungalow. The bungalow was clean and nicely decorated. The garden was beautiful place to relax and enjoy. It was centrally located. Our host was not present, but helped us with everything via email. Their friends Dee and Efrain, across the road, were very helpful and gracious. Their helper, Rosio, was there but couldn't speed English. She had breakfast for us in the mornings. A few issues. The first few days the shower was not hot. And a hour or so during the evening there was a annoying water running outside the bedroom window. But in all fairness, we never addressed these issues to our host. Over all we would definitely stay there again.
Urubamba was absolutely the highlight of my trip to Perú besides the four day trek into the Salkantay region. Unfortunately I didn't meet Juan Carlos in person because he was traveling as well, but his staff was very lovely and helpful. The bungalow was very well equipped and organized and the garden...gosh I wish I have one like this, full of flowers, running water, clear ski above, benches and chairs to sit, sip, and enjoy and it's full of vibrancy. The address is a bit hard to find as the narrow county road doesn't have a house number, so it's better to communicate well before the taxi ride.
My family of three had the pleasure to stay at Perayoc Bungalows from Aug 2 - 5 (Winter in Peru) Juan Carlos and Laura made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. We had exchanged several messages back and forth and he promptly answered each and every one of them. I strongly recommend consulting with Juan Carlos for ALL your plans. He is very knowledgeable of the Cusco/Sacred Valley area and he recommended amazing sightseeing/tours, as well as, delightful restaurants that we had no idea existed in the area. They were all gourmet style and amazing! The bungalows themselves are thoughtfully decorated to match the surrounding environment. They are clean, rustic and comfortable, but have the modern conveniences of TV/cable/WiFi. Beds are super cozy. Juan Carlos and staff prepared an excellent continental breakfast each morning. The bungalows are surrounded by lovely gardens and beautiful mountain views. It was our favorite part of staying there. Very relaxing and different for us since we live by the ocean in Florida and never get to see mountains. It is a quiet and serene place that has to be experienced. Don't miss looking up at night, you can see the Milky Way! We will definitely love to come and stay at the bungalows again! Juan Carlos and Laura went from being our hosts to becoming our friends. They are one of the most accommodating, welcoming and friendliest people you will ever meet. We are sooo happy we skipped the hotel experience. Don't stay anywhere else :-)
Absolutely LOVED staying at Juan Carlos's bungalow!! It was charming, clean, and very homey. JC was so incredibly welcoming and had so many ideas and suggesting on places and restaurants to go to (all which were awesome!). Him and his wife were super sweet to bring us breakfast to our door every morning. I definitely recommend to this place if you are looking to enjoy Cusco like a local.
Our time with Juan Carlos and Laura was the best part of our trip. The bungalows are lovely and comfortable and their attention to detail and service was unmatched by any of our other hosts. Their grounds are beautiful and green and lovely to walk through with a babbling stream outside our window to lull us to sleep. They are great, caring hosts who will make sure that by the time you leave, you love the sacred valley as much as they do.
We loved to stay with Juan Carlos & Laura! They were such nice people and enjoyed having wine with them on their beautiful grounds!! They were so friendly and helpful with planning our trip and once we arrived! It's in a great location and so peaceful! Highlight recommend their place!

About the Host, Juan Carlos
