Very nice mother and daughter that are renting rooms in their property. The rooms are adequate for a short stay in Cusco - beds, extra blankets, clean and functional bathroom. Nothing fancy and not particularly decorated, but has all the basics. The owners are very helpful, though it was helpful to know a baseline minimum of Spanish.
Liz and her mom is wonderful. We had a little trouble talking because I don't speak spanish and they speak only some english, but we managed to communicate eventually. The room is nice, big and clean. I mostly talked with Liz's mom, and she is such a wonderful person. Since she couldn't show me which way is the main plaza on a map, she actually walked quite a bit to point out the way to me. I asked for a few things and she ran to get them (which got me quite worried about her).
Only strange thing was the missing toilet seat, don't know what to make of that. It will be nice to have a toilet seat. Also, the front door key is hard to insert, you have to push really hard. Luckily there was a guy who noticed and helped me out.
This place is definitely recommended.
We had stayed for a week.
Liz and her family are very kindness.
You can go around central Cuzco easily by walk from here.
You can take a taxi from bus terminal to here. It costs about 3 - 5 soles.
But when we were staying here, we couldn't use wifi after lightning hit near house.
Forth at reason we had to find other wifi spot after that day.
It was only very uncomfortable.
But now I think that it will be resolve.
If We'll come to Cuzco again, we wanna stay here.
Repetiremos seguro.
Fast internet, great location, and lovely family. Be sure to let someone know you'll be home late so they keep the main door unlocked.
We booked one night and ended up staying three. The location is great, one block from San Pedro market and from Santa Clara church and about 5 blocks from the main square. It is better than being in the cuter neighborhood of San Blas because, although nicer, that neighborhood will require you to walk steep uphill roads to go home every night. Liz's place is on the same level of the main square.
The room is bare and has only one wobbly electrical outlet (so bring a multi outlet if you have multiple devices to charge overnight). It gets cold at night but there are plenty of blankets provided and the sheets are clean. Liz also offered us tea when we arrived and gave us clean towels. The bathroom is private and clean and has hot water shower. Bring your own soap. Bathroom is down a hall so if you get Up at night you'll have to put on pants and shoes. Not fancy but functional, well located and clean. Recommended
Liz and her family provided a great, friendly stay in Cusco in a large traditional private house close to the main square, market and shops. All within easy walking distance. We booked for a week and ended up staying for a month, learning Spanish at a school close by. Liz picked up up from the airport upon arrival and again dropped us off at the bus station upon departure. We wanted to experience Cusco outside the bulk tourist stream but still be close to all the activities, for this the property is ideally located.
Here we have met very pleasant acceptance. Owners of this place are very hospitable and helpful, they have explained us about the peculiarities of the city. Speaking generally I would strongly recommend this place for everyone, who is traveling to Cusco.
An old and beautiful family house with private rooms quite comfortable and protected. Next to the municipal market and a few blocks from the central square, well located. Liz and Mercedes were very kind and caring. I recommend!
