  • Many thanks to Emma and Ian. We spent a lovely time (one month) in her studio which has really a good equipment and is very clean and we feel like at home. For us it was a chance that we could bring our dog with us from Switzerland! The studio is very good situated and easy to go everywhere with public transport and car. We can warmly recommend this place and if we come back to Vancouver it would be pleasure for us to go again to this place. Many thanks again for all.

  • Emma and Ian accommodated us after another reservation fell through, and provided a great space with privacy, that was very close to Vancouver's city center allowing us to enjoy a comedy club, and the international mountain film festival during our short stay. Highly recommended.

  • Thanks to Emma and Ian (and Pepper the family dog) for making my month long stay an enjoyable one. The basement suite was clean and comfortable. I also appreciated all the extra touches that made it feel homey (nice décor, fireplace, laundry, maid service, comfy bed). It was in a perfect location and I was surprised at how easy it was to reach everything through public transportation, even getting to downtown Vancouver was a breeze on the sky train (10 min). I would not hesitate to use their rental for any return trips to Vancouver.

  • Very nice and confortable, nice and calm surroundings, close to convinient transportation to downtown and walking distance to the beautiful Queen Elisabeth Park with great view over town.

  • This place was perfect for me. I came to Vancouver for the birth of my first grandchild, and the suite was only about 7 blocks from their apartment. The neighbourhood was lovely, safe, and good exercise. The Guns were lovely, and responsive to any request. The apartment and amenities were comfortable and clean. It was extra special to enjoy the Hillcrest Centre nearby as well, in addition to the Blaedel Conservatory; all within walking distance. I hope to stay again soon.

  • We stayed a couple of nights while I attended a conference at the Botanical Gardens, conveniently placed only about a mile away. Hosts were welcoming, well-prepared, charming, and very prompt in responding to emails and calls. The apartment was quiet and private, although some noise from upstairs penetrated from time to time. The location is great for anyone coming from the south (i.e., the States).

There is a supermarket nearby, and a good selection of ethnic restaurants within a few blocks easy walk. Granville Island and downtown (and MEC) are convenient--we didn't bother this time, but might next time through. We're expecting to return someday soon.

Our only real quibble was that it was difficult to find in the dark coming up the alley--the address isn't posted next to the (single) parking spot, so we circled a few times before calling and asking to be guided in.

  • My family came to stay in Vancouver for 2 weeks and this is what my dad wrote on our behalf :

Thanks a million for making our stay so comfortable and cosy. Everything we needed was easily available. It is indeed a home away from home.

The location is perfectly convenient from which to go out and explore your wonderful city.

We had the good fortune of beautiful weather with days of sunshine.

A lot of thought and planning had gone into maximising the space of the unit, not to mention the impressive lighting system.

And to kindly allow us to stay another half a day beyond our check out time before our flight home is icing on the cake.

    Warmest regards and God bless.

  • I don't usually have time to write reviews for things but I felt I must for this place as it was so good! The apartment was clean, very well equipped (apart from an oven, the kitchen has everything you could want, and they have made up for the lack of oven by putting in a table top oven and a slow cooker), and everything is fitted out to a high standard. It was spacious, quiet and was overall a very pleasant place to be in. The area around is nice, and there are shops and restaurants just a short walk away. There is public transport close by and you can get downtown in 15-20 mins. Ian and Emma are very friendly and incredibly helpful. They make themselves very available to be contacted by their guests if they has questions or problems, and even offered to take me to the supermarket in the car if I needed to buy a lot of groceries. The apartment contains lots of information about places to see in the area, as well as maps. Overall, I would highly recommend this as a place to stay.
