The location is great! Very close walk to the beach. You can also walk to the restaurants if you like. I couldn't because of the dust from the street. It got into my contact lenses and made my eyes burn. The common area is very nice! We were the only guests staying and it was quite private, except for the construction going on behind the pool area. It appears they are building another rental unit. There is only one air conditioner in the bedroom. The rest of the unit is hot! All windows are barred on the units. There is no escape route in case of fire except the front door. There are no smoke alarms in the units. There are a lot of ants and bugs around. The bathroom needs updating. The shower and toilet do not work very well. The garden area outside the unit is pretty. We heard holler monkeys, but never saw any. This was a once in a lifetime trip for me. I don't think I will be going back.

The house is great, and the pool is wonderful for refreshing in the middle of the day or after a surf. The location is excellent with easy beach access and an easy walk to restaurants. Jody and Wayne are very friendly and accommodating.

The Villas were a great place to stay. The location was perfect, a short 3 minute walk to the Playa Guiones beach and "town center" where there were restaurants and shops. There was a great pool and hammocks/deck area and the place was well secured, so we felt safe. There was usually someone around either cleaning or working, so we weren't worried about our stuff getting stolen. I would 100% stay here again and hope I get a chance to.

Location is great for walking to the beach. Make a coffee in the room and walk to the beach and drink there watching the waves. wifi speed was about 3mbps and worked well for (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) calls. But did go down 3 long periods while we were there for 3 weeks. So its "fairly reliable". Condo has good fans and AC in bedroom. Good kitchen. Nice gardens and pool. you can walk around, but to get to the main street is kinda a pain in raining season. A bit far. Walk to yoga institute is like 15 minutes. Nice to have a quad or a car. We were there for 3 weeks in rainy season aka slow season, green season, and construction season. So lots of places are closed, people rebuilding things too. But quieter and nice. Rained a few days all day, but mostly in the afternoon. Was nice.

Great Location, Super Comfortable, Everybody we interacted with was wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised by the incredible location and they have people come and clean while we were there. What a treat, we will be back for sure!

We had a wonderful stay at villa Canadiense. Jess and the owners were very responsive and responsible hosts. There was an incident of break-in in the area in the year leading up to our trip. To augment security the owners were responsive and built a substantive (and elegant) wall around the estate and provided a security guard for the night time. Our family felt very safe. We also learn through meeting community members that the the area is safe for all walking around at night. The architecture of the units, pool area and gardens has been very well designed and well maintained. The location was perfected located for us being separated from the beach by only the nature reserve. The unit was very clean, well sized and comfortable. The gardens colours and flowers were magnificent. The only suggestion for improvement is there could be more care/love/colour into the fittings (pillow, curtains, kitchen equipment, etc). While all in good order they felt minimal and lacked delight.

Would definitely stay here again. We stayed for a month so if there was something wrong with the place we would have found it! The location is one of the best features, it's super close to the beach which makes walking down with your surfboard every day an absolute dream. The apartment is exactly as advertised, nice and spacious, well maintained, and kitted out with everything you need to cook. There were a few little things that popped up over the month but the manager was quick to resolve issues when they arose.
