About This Listing
My apartment is located on of the most central streets in the Ft. Greene/Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn. It is spacious, with hard wood floors, artwork, wifi, cable, and a view of the common shared area garden. The room you will be staying in has a full sized bed (brand new mattress recently purchased), air conditioning and I will provide fresh sheets and towels for your use. The room can comfortably accommodate up to 2 people.
Ft. Greene/Clinton Hill is a great area; filled with quiet, tree lined streets and amazing restaurants and bars all within walking distance. I am within two blocks of the C train line that can get you to Soho/Tribeca within 15mins. Just a short walk further and you are at the Atlantic Ave-Barclays Terminal which is the 3rd largest subway hub in the city. For basketball fans and music lovers we are 5 mins away from Brooklyn's newest attraction Barclays Center. Brooklyn Nets basketball and Jay-Z, Coldplay and Rihanna are at your fingertips.
My place is always neat and organized. As a traveler myself I understand the importance of spending time in a welcoming and warm environment when on the road and I am glad to provide that.
I am quite social and active and can provide as much input to your time in NYC as is wanted. I have lived in NYC all my life and I know NYC extremely well.
Interaction with Guests
I know a ton about NYC, tips on how to get around, what to see/do. I basically share as much/or as little as guest wish to have. Everyone travels differently and it looking for a different amount of interaction. I try to respect that while being helpful if asked.
There is access to most subway lines for getting around the city. Atlantic Ave station is a major hub and it is 5-7 minutes walking distance.
I am very easy going. I just ask for the following:
1. be neat - that includes the room, the bathroom and the kitchen.
2. generally let me know in advance arrival and departure as I am usually coordinating other visits.
3. Please clear out all trash upon leaving/departing after your stay.
see..not much to be worried about. Just the basics that ensures everyone has a pleasant time.
Philip is a great host. He was really flexible and helpful with directions. I'm a coffee drinker and really enjoyed the Hungry Ghost which is just a few minute walk. I slept very soundly while there. This was my first AirBnB experience and I would definitely continue to use this system based on this.
Philip is an excellent host. I truly enjoyed my stay and would certainly book with him again. We had great conversations. The only issue I had with him is that attended Howard University instead of my alma mater, the venerable Morehouse College. Nothing like a little academic rivalry. LOL
This was my first experience with AirBnB and I must say that it was a great one. I arrived a few hours later than expected and Phillip was accommodating of that. He was very helpful and hospitable not to mention friendly and down-to-earth. The apartment was clean and comfortable and I love the area. Walking distance to the Barclay's center and shopping in Atlantic Terminal. All in all, my experience was top notch and Phillip is a stand up guy. If you're in Brooklyn and looking for a great, affordable place to stay then stop looking. You've found what you're looking for right here.
Philip was friendly and accommodating, and especially flexible with my check-in time changes. The room is as indicated and extremely convenient to the subway, restaurants and shops. The neighborhood is walkable and safe.
Great location plenty to do locally also really easy to get in Manhattan
Philip also helpful and friendly
Philip made me feel very welcome. Very sociable and welcoming. The bedroom is basic, but the price is appropriate. The neighborhood is lovely and very convenient for the subway. I highly recommend.
