Gary and Andrea Yelen are an Australian couple who are loving the village of St Antonin Noble Val. Your rooms are on the top floor of our gallery & studio home - in the heart of the village. We offer: one freshly painted big yellow bedroom; a small comfy sunroom - with kitchette for some basic the/cafe/baguette preparation; your own bathroom and loo.
We can lend you a bicycle or two, show you around the place, and we can also make time for some painting or (website hidden) Antonin Noble Val - is a beautiful historic village on the Aveyron River among the Gorges Averyon. That means excellent canoeing (loads of canoe hire within a few hundred metres), endless Pied Radonnes (?) (walking tracks); great cycling and rock climbing.
And of course - we have a boulangerie, brocante, sunday market and streets dotted with artisans and ateliers. :-) Everything you need within walking distance!
The nearest train stations are Caussade, Lexos, and Montauban - and we can pick you up and show your around (for a small transport fee).

Gary was a gracious and hospitable host! His place is charming, clean, spacious and filled with beautiful art of his own creation! The room is very private and is its own floor, so private bathroom and dining area with a small refrigerator. The window from the room looks out onto the village and is beautiful to look out and admire the light and life of Saint-Antonin-Nobel-Val. I recommend him and his home 100%!
Het huis ligt prachtig , midden in het dorp aan het plein waar ook de mairie en de kerk is.
Gary ontving ons heel hartelijk en de accommodatie is prima.
Een aanrader om hier eens naar toe te gaan.
Staying at Gary and Adrea's place was a real pleasure for us. Lots of things to share: paintings, music, food, travel and of course, Australia! Better be fluent in english though :) The room was perfect, beautiful view on the church and we could also eat in Gary's dining room. It was just a stopover on the road but makes us want to stop again!
Staying at the Galerie FRUKT was one of the highlights of my trip to France this summer. Gary and Andrea have created a very friendly and comfortable space, with the feeling of a home from home, in this wonderful town. Though they live between two continents and haven’t been here long, I got the feeling that they’re already making a lot of friends within the local community. There’s certainly a very warm welcome for all the curious visitors who wander into their lovely gallery space.
The private apartment was much larger then I’d expected and I was very touched by the thoughtfulness, and attention to detail, that had clearly gone into preparing it for my stay. I found clean towels in the bathroom (the shower was excellent) tea and coffee in the ‘kitchen’ room with a fresh jug of milk in the fridge, and a comfortable, freshly made bed (complete with a little retro bedside fan to cool the midsummer heat) in the charming bedroom.
I loved the view from the bedroom window, looking out over the Place de la Mairie, where people often stopped to sit and watch the world go by, and the tranquil street below, transformed by bustling activity and lively character with the arrival of the Sunday market.
Though I had my own space and independence, I really enjoyed sharing delicious breakfasts, stories and good humour with my fellow inhabitants. I arrived to a feast of fresh local ‘pamplemousse’ and a kind invitation to an Art show in a nearby village. The locals are a friendly lot and I was warmly welcomed.
The evening rambled into a very humorous tour of Saint Antonin (Gary’s got this down to an art) stumbling down some ancient winding alleyways, passing old herb gardens and a riverbank or noisy frogs, and culminating in the discovery of an atmospheric musical gathering, where enthusiastic locals looked set to dance the night away. It was a magical way to arrive in this town and I swiftly felt a part of it.
I think that’s the beauty of a place like the Galerie FRUKT. You can be as independent or included as you want to be. Gary and Andrea offer wonderful company, but you’ll also find enough space here to do your own thing.
I left Saint Antonin with the feeling I’d shared a little gem of discovery, creativity and ideas with these lovely people, and made some friends along the way. All in all, a charming place, at a very reasonable price, and an experience I can highly recommend.
