Annascaul is in a good position between Inch strand and Dingle town. The drives around Slea head are breathtaking and Dingle is a lively town with a great scene. We were warmly welcomed by friendly staff in the small Kerry village. The accommodation is cosy and we got a great sleep. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic including fruit, coffee and the full Irish made with some local delicacies. Adventure junkies can roll down the hill for a refreshing glass in the nearby South Pole Inn, founded by local legend, the Antarctic explorer, Tom Crean. Overall, the Old Anchor Inn is the kind of place that gives Kerry hospitality a good name.
We had a great stay at the Old Anchor Inn. Brian and Bea were helpful and responsive, and very welcoming when we arrived. Rooms were spotless and cozy, and breakfast was lovely. The village of Annascaul is quiet, with a few pubs, and only a short drive to Dingle town. Would definitely stay again!
Brian and Beata were lovely-welcoming hosts. They gave us very helpful tips on what to visit in the area and cooked a warm delicious breakfast for us. The B&B is very cute&cozy and it is located in a small town close to Dingle where you can find a couple of shops and pubs. Great experience!
Brian & Beata were lovely hosts, the room was spacious, clean, & comfortable. Brian was very knowledgable about the area, there was a great dvd collection and breakfast was quite tasty. Great experience overall.
Brian was friendly and hospitable. Had a very nice stay at there place, which was ideally located on the dingle peninsula!
Beata was very accommodating on our late checkin as we spent the day in Dingle seeing the sites and eating a good meal and taking in a wonderful music concert. We arrived at 10 PM and settled in for the evening. Had a great breakfast. We only stayed 1 night as we were headed to the Cliffs of Mohr and the West. Due to our limited stay we only met Beata. I would recommend Annascaul and The Old Anchor Inn as a great stopping point if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of the touristy town of Dingle
