Very pleasant stay in a completley private detached second floor apt of garage with its own entrance. Furnishings are tastefull and sparse, just
enough to make it very comfortable. Location is in a quiet neighborhood that feels very safe and very near all the major attractions of Charlottetsville.
Overall, one terrific listing that I will book again.
Le petit appartement est grand avec tout ce qu'il faut à disposition : cuisine, salle de bain, rangements. Parfait pour passer quelques jours dans le shenandoah park qui est à côté.
Lindsay's place was absolutely perfect and as described (but was even better in reality)! The bed was comfortable, and the shelf that you can keep at the end of the bed or bring up toward the top of the bed to use as a table/desk was great for eating meals and working on our laptops. The Wi-fi worked well. We were able to adjust the temperature with an effective AC unit, and there was a heater for those to use in the winter months. The kitchen was everything we needed with pots/pans/cooking utensils. You may need to bring your own oil. There was butter in the fridge, so we just used that. Everything was very comfortable, and we definitely had enough space (there is some closet space to store your suitcases). The shower was small but did the job. My boyfriend LOVED staying here. He had zero complaints, and usually there's always something at Airbnb's that he'll comment on. Also, working with Lindsay was wonderful. She responds VERY quickly. Check-in/check-out was really easy, with a passcode to unlock the door. Lindsay was flexible with our late arrival and departure. Also, we accidentally left a bottle of wine in the fridge when we left, and she didn't mind us having to come back for it hours after our departure.
The Carriage House was a great place to stay. Very pretty and clean, and just as described. Completely private with a parking place right at the door. I didn't need Lindsay, but she was very communicative and provided me with everything I needed. I didn't use the kitchenette but it would be great for a longer stay. The newer neighborhood is very pleasant and an easy drive to downtown and the University. I highly recommend it.
Great stay! The place was clean, well-appointed, and a great home base while we were in cville.
I had a great experience here. I had made a very last minute decision to stay in Charlottesville for the night and Lindsay was able to accommodate me. I met Lindsay and her daughter upon arrival; she was helpful and very pleasant to work with. The lodging is like an efficiency apartment and has everything one would need. I only needed the apartment for one night but this is exactly the type of place I would want for a multi-day stay in C'ville. The neighborhood is quiet but minutes from the main shopping area; 15 minutes or so will get you to the UVA campus with it's associated shops, restaurants, and events. The airport is also a short drive away. I highly recommend staying here for visits to C'ville.
