  • Lindsay and her husband were very helpful. Recommend getting good directions in advance. Cottage was clean, neat, quiet but very small. We spent very little time at the cottage as we were visiting family so it met our needs.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Lindsay's carriage house. It's basically a small studio apartment above a garage in a nice suburban area. It's definitely enough space for 1 person; tight but totally do-able for a couple. The apartment was clean with great climate control, and an easy drive to the main Charlottesville attractions.
Multiple places for shopping are 1-3 miles away including a trendy area with trader joes, restaurants, high end shops and a movie theater. The wifi didn't always work but other than that this was a great experience. Check in and check out were easy. We would stay here again if we return to the area.

    Quiet neighborhood. Great parking.
Checking in/out is super easy and low maintenance. I liked that.

  • Lindsay made it really easy to get into our cozy, comfortable, private carriage house. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and had a great sense of community. Downtown Charlottesville was a 10-15 minute drive away.

  • Very cute little place w/ great bathroom. Totally cozy and comfortable. Lindsay was very sweet to leave us basket of goodies! She was very communicative, but it was also a completely independent experience where we were left with the place to ourselves & easily were able to access space with a code. Easy drive into town.
    Awesome experience for the price!

    Thank you!

  • Staying at Lindsay's guesthouse has been a pleasure from the very moment I've contacted her (late in the evening, my bad) and she responded right away. All communication with her was warm, thoughtful and efficient... She provided me with access codes, internet passwords and instructions where to park within just a few text messages so that I found the place immediately and could let myself in. Walking into the apartment, I found some snacks (thank you!!), a couple of magazines as well as fresh towels and shampoo/soap... Everything about this place is warm, cheerful and inviting. Lindsay keeps it beautiful and practical, and it is quiet, in a safe neighborhood, very green all around and yet there are shops, restaurants, gas stations close-by. I did not use the kitchen but there is a full sized fridge, oven, dishes etc., which comes in handy if you plan on spending some more time in Charlottesville. When I asked about a late checkout, Lindsay invited me to stay a few hours longer so that I could sleep in and use her wifi internet to work a bit before taking off the next day. She also texted me to make sure I arrived well, and to wish me good travels when I've left. I really liked that she was so professional and respectful of my privacy while being accessible to answer any questions, and caring for making this stay a most pleasant experience. Highly recommended :-)

  • This is the perfect place to stay. You have a private entrance and the place is separate from the house. This place has all the comforts of home. We prepared breakfast and supper here and the kitchen area had everything we needed. Great furnishing and a nice modern bath. We will definitely be returning to visit!
