About this listing
Perfect for solo travellers
Hello! Are you travelling alone and looking for a room in Amsterdam? I'll be happy to host you at my apartment.
I offer a private room, its small but enough for a short stay. The rest of the apartment is very nice, very light and neat. You can make use of the high speed wireless and all amenities. Just feel at home.
Like most houses in Amsterdam, there is NO ELEVATOR, meaning that you have to walk upstairs 3 floors, so plan for it in case you are bringing a very heavy bag or if you have mobility issues. In any case, I'll be happy to help you carry it upstairs :)
The neighborhood is very lively and it only takes 5 minutes to bike to the center of town!
2 minute walk to the tram and bus stops, with several connections to the center, in 10 minutes you're downtown.
The apartment is situated within walking distance to many shops and nightlife at the Jan Evertsenstraat and Mercatorplein. The Erasmus Park and Rembrandt Park are just around the corner.
Through Jan Van Galenstraat there is a fast connection to the ring road A-10, making it fast to get to-from the airport by car/taxi.
Public transport nearby including tram lines 7 and 13, and bus lines 15 and 18.
Don't hesitate to get in touch with questions!
no rules! just respect and enjoy!
It was perfect. Great location . Good bed. Everything clean and there are so cool.
Lucie and Quentin are an easy going, polite, and helpful couple. The small, cozy room has a comfortable bed with closet space. The nights are quiet, great to get a good night's sleep. Keep in mind that carrying a big suitcase up to the third floor might be an issue for some travellers. Getting to the center is easy by tram. All up a pleasant experience.
Lucie and Quentin are fantastic hosts, they were very warm and welcoming even though my flight was delayed so I didn't arrive at the flat until after 11.00pm and Lucie had to go to work the next day. In fact they took the time to properly introduce me to the flat and chat about my plans for my (very short) stay. Lucie had prepared a list of suggestions which proved really useful - the weather was fabulous so I was going to avoid museums but her high praise for the canal museum made me decide to visit and I'm really glad I did - a really interesting and well presented history of Amsterdam and its canals. I also loved the Foodhallen. Neither of those were in my itinerary before I arrived but proved to be highlights!
The flat is not huge, but is very neat, clean and light, and the bed is extremely comfortable. There was plenty of storage for my clothes and other belongings, room in the fridge for a few bits of food, and Lucie & Quentin invited me to use the lounge and balcony (which I did). Yes the bathroom is tiny, but anyone who is able bodied enough to tackle the three flights of stairs should have no problem using the facilities despite what a previous reviewer says! I'm a moderately overweight 60+ with a dodgy hip and I was fine
I really enjoyed staying at this house ! I felt confortable in the room, tram was really easy to get to Amsterdam Centraal and the neighborhood is just so cute ! It´s composed with nice buildings and in a quiet and secure place ! Lucie and Quentin were very nice to me, we had a chance to have some conversations and they´re soo nice people! They helped me a lot with the tips from the place, and also told me that I could have breakfast and coffee with their food wich I thought it was so kind of them. Besides that, in the day that I had to leave Lucie gave me a ride to the airport wich it was very sweet of her! I was lucky though, because in that day and specific time she wasn´t working and happened to had rented this car for a couple days to work. It one more time shows how much she cares about the guest and how kind she is !
Lucie and Quentin were just adorable. They made me feel home at the very first second I was here. Room and commun parts were exactly as described and perfectly clean. The bed was just amazing!!The flat is a bid far from the city center but everything like the station and museums can be access per tram which is just at few meters from their place. Plus they have nice restaurants and cafés around. I will definitely recommand this place to anyone who want to visit Amsterdam :)
I had a very nice stay at Lucie and Quentin's place, the room was perfectly clean, bed is confortable and the apartment is well located, in a calm neighborhood, still close to the city by bus/tramway.
Quentin was super friendly (Lucie was not at the apartment during my stay) and gave me interesting tips on Amsterdam. It was super nice that they gave me a bike because Amsterdam needs to be visited by bike ! It's so fun.
Overall, i had a great time and would highly recommend their apartment.
My experience was nothing short of perfect. Everything was exactly as described in the description. Iranzu was out of town for the holidays when I came to visit, but left me the keys to her flat at a cafe down the street. A very good cafe by the way, nice food and coffee. The flat was nice and clean and she even left me out things to use like shampoo and face wash. I would definitely stay here again.
