Julia's place was exactly as described and was exactly what I needed. It was comfortable, clean and I had the entire place to myself. It was very close to public transportation. Julia was so accommodating with my late arrival. If I need a place in New Jersey again I will definitely stay here.
The place was lovely. I loved the fact that it was close to pen station and the fact that they were very nice people. I would love to come again another time.
It was a lovely place to stay. I was lucky, because I had the whole house to myself.
George was amazing. He came to pick me up from the station, even so it wasn't the one closes to the house.
I enjoyed my stay very much and I would definetly go there again.
George was a nice guy and really helpful. The apartment was as described just I felt a bit cold during my stay. There was a heater but was on and off and if there was an extra heating appliance , that would be fantastic. Generally, I was really happy with him and his house and I will book it again if I will have another trip to Newark.
Thank you dear George !
It was ok. Fairly comfortable.
However: I have stayed at several other Airbnb places in the same general geographical location and, compared to them, Julia's place:
- Is rather dusty and dirty
- Lacked someone in the house to orient me to the neighborhood
- Has no working refrigerator/freezer
- Is located in a bleak urban area with not much to offer - no good grocery stores for example
I never even met or spoke to Julia, only to someone named George, who was very nice and made sure he was there when I arrived. He did not stay at the place so I was all by myself in a bit of a scary neighborhood. I was given one towel and no toilet paper.
I was "kicked out" on the 4th day of my stay because the boiler had to be replaced. George brought me a refund for the remaining days. This was fine with me as I found a much better place to stay for the same price.
Very reasonable price, located minutes from railway station (from which you can get to Manhattan in 20 minutes) .
Clean rooms, friendly hosts.
I am quite happy staying there for a night before a flight from Newark airport ( getting to which is also very easy)
Great accommodations. I had the two bedroom apartment to myself. A little noisy outside overnight, but not a big deal. I would stay there again.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a convenient stay in Newark, NJ.
It was overly a good experience: relatively cheap, close to where I wanted to be and pretty much convenient. However, there were no laundry which caused me some issues wandering around that area which did not look the safest neighborhood in Newark.
We only stayed one night at Julias place. Therefore it was enough. Unfortunasly the place was run down and there were no towels as promised.
Good was the parking space for free and the train station near by the house.
