Interaction with Guests
I am happy to tell you some local history of our beautiful city and the river. Galway has some wonderful restaurants such as Ard Bia at Nimmos and Kai Café within easy walking distance, while Tigh Neachtins and The Beirhaus are great for a pint. The Galway Market beside St Nicholas Church is worth a ramble through on Saturdays.
Guests a welcome to use the kitchen. But it is a strict Vegetarian kitchen only.
No smoking in the house please.
I really enjoyed my stay at Sheila´s house.
It is very central, which makes it very easy to travel in and outside Galway. The house and room are very charming and neat.
Sheila is a very warm and welcoming person. She was always open for a little chat and had a lot of information, tips and recommendations for me.
I highly recommend staying there.
Sheila is an wonderful person. Her house is so confortable. I loved the room. I loved the decoration of the bathroom and the kitchen is nice too. She gives you a lot of attention. I loved Galway and irish people too. I want to come back there and stay with Sheila again.
Shelia is a lovely lady. I enjoyed meeting and staying with her very much, and would not hesitate to stay with her again. She is in a lovely area near the Corrib and very convenient to City Center. It is just a few minutes walk. Thank you Shelia for you warm welcome and making me feel at home.
I had the most wonderful experience in Sheila's lovely home in Galway. She was so welcoming and hospitable the moment I met her. She had maps and info about the town ready to share, fresh breakfast spread out in the morning, and such clean and charming accommodations. I loved it so much I even extended my stay in Galway. Thanks Sheila! You and Galway are incredible!

About the Host, Sheila
Hi, I’m Sheila and I was born in this house, built by my great grandfather in 1887. Though I have a degree in Textile Design and teach art, my passion is
ecology/environment. I am co-founder of Green Sod Ireland, working to establish WildAcres across Ireland to create safe habitats, vital for biodiversity. I am vegetarian, an animal lover and though I’ve always had dogs I how have two rescued cats. I love the Visual Arts, reading and good food…… I’m easy-going and enjoy meeting new people, so looking forward to welcoming you to Galway. It’s a lovely city, more like a small town, full of culture and craic.
