Julia, thanks a lot for lovely staying in your house! My special thanks for George. He was very friendly and helpful from the first minutes of our communication.
The house turned out to be more cosy and nice that it was in pictures.
Its location is really close to to the railway station. It is ideal if you plan visit NY frequently. I usually walked to New Jersey Technology Institute. And it seems to me that house is located in one of most safe and quite district of Newark.
Thanks again for hospitality
If you have no car and you're literally only here to sleep (soundly through sirens all night) then this is a good place for you. However I do have a car and am not a super sound sleeper, so this place wasn't a great fit for me. George was nice and helpful and I thank him for allowing me to stay, but I don't think I'll be back.
I arrived late due to flight delays. Regardless we received a warm welcome from George who manages the property. It unfortunately was ridiculously hot and stuffy. There were no window AC units installed as described. Our first night was horrible, even with the windows open it was difficult to sleep due to the heat. Our stay was for 2 nights, by the second evening both rooms had ACs!! :) I would recommend Julia's home, it was pleasant once we had the comfort of modern technology in a beautiful vintage home. Definitely consider staying here, just ensure the units are installed for all nights reserved.
I, George, did not expected to be hot in May. The window A/Cs were not installed yet. Air BnB became a nice community and feel bad they did not experience the perfect stay. I did not know they were so upset either but wonder why they ware staying at home all the time, New York City is 15 min from the house.
