Beautiful, warm and clean house in a perfect location for getting to the airport and exploring Dublin from. Friendly management who are very helpful. I have stayed in a few B&Bs around Dubin and based on comfort and location this is by far the best. I would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again.
Des & Sinead were my first airbnb hosts, and i'm afraid it's all downhill from here. I'm not sure i've ever experienced as much hospitality in such a short span. Sinead promptly picked me up from the airport and no sooner did i walk in the door than i felt at home. Des and Sinead almost trip over each other making sure you're comfortable, well fed, and entertained. We watched rugby and the Mighty Boosh (my first time for each), played with Timmy and Coney (good guys both), Sinead was so kind as to make a fishNchip-run for me, and the conversation stayed engrossing into the wee hours, at which point i was all but carried to my bed. And, as if to give the evening a fairy-tale ending, i had Coney curl up at my feet for the night.
The next morning i was rushing to catch a bus, so i didn't have time for breakfast (though i did see that my place at the table was set for me) but sinead quickly supplied me with a cup of coffee to go, made sure i had bus fare, a copy of the schedule, and a map of dublin, and graciously drove me to the bus stop.
I thought i was just getting a clean, spacious, reasonably priced room for a night, but, --and the airbnb review page may not be the place for such sentimentalities-- but what i got was so much more; i got 3 new friends... (i have no problem with timmy per se, we just never clicked).
If i were to return to the Dublin area, i'd stay again with Des and Sinead.
You can't get any better that Des and Sinead. Incredible hospitality. Even though I was only there for about 16 hours, Sinead went out of her way to be accommodating, picking me up at the airport, and taking me to get takeout for dinner. The house is lovely and the room was huge, with a comfortable bed and good shower, and coffee and breakfast in the morning. If you need a place to stay near the airport, or if you're in Dublin and just want to stay with some wonderful people, this is your best bet. I can't thank them enough!
Des & Sinead are the BEST hosts in the world. They are so helpful, warm, welcoming, and will bend over backwards to help you in anyway they can. Seriously, I felt super taken care of. It was a nice change as I was feeling a little frazzled after so much travel!
The breakfast was so filling and they always had so much food. Their house is very comfy and the room was comfortable as well. The location is really convenient to the bus so I could go into Dublin easily.
Really, I think Des & Sinead MAKE this BnB experience. They are just so accommodating and the best people in this world. Hearts of gold they have!
Me, my girlfriend and a friend of mine stayed one night at Des and Sinead's house. If you are looking for welcoming people, cute little dogs to stroke and a perfectly maintained and clean house : their house is the one you need to go for! We loved every minute spent there. Des and Sinead are such great host! They even cooked us a nice breakfast before we left and made sure we knew where we were going and what we should see in Dublin. They did everything to make us feel at eased in their house and it worked ! We highly recommend them to you.
I only stayed one night - well, a few hours - at Des'&Sinead's, but it was really a lovely time. Sinead gave me directions on the phone and picked me up, when I got lost while trying to find a "short cut". Then I had a nice warm welcome by Des and the two dogs and a nice warm cup of tea. Would have liked to sit and chat for longer, but had to prepare for the departure in the morning.
Even on this short stay I felt a bit at home. The house has really nicely decorated interior and everything is neat and clean.
A great plus is the 5 min. driving distance to the airport - but I didn't hear any noise at night though. Hopefully next time I get the chance to visit Malahide and the surrounding area. Thanks again for being great hosts.
What a fantastic B&B! Des & Sinead are amazing hosts, full of character and have thought of everything. The house is spotless and full of charm. I didn't get in till quite late and they were still able to pick me up at the airport. I would highly recommend them and will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Dublin.
Simply fabulous! I can't say enough about the hospitality Des and Sinead extended to us. They had wonderful advice as to where to go and what to see since we were only there for a two days. They did everything anyone could ask of them. I would definitely stay there again!
what to say? You're simply the best!
Des and Sinead are wonderful wonderful hosts they made me feel confortable on my first journey on my own and that was not easy.
They have been always there for me ,we had fun we went for trips and they helped me living the perfect vacation. I stayied at their place for two weeks, it is very clean and welcoming and it's easy to reach the city centre. You'll meet wonderful people there in case you read this jack, tony, karl, susie, yasu and everyone, I miss you! Des and Sinead are now friends of mine and I'm sure I'll see them again. This is the perfect choice, best house in Dublin.
Des and Sinead were full of hospitality and were wonderful, friendly hosts. They know a lot about and enjoy the area they live in and they are happy to share this with their guests. We got so much more out of staying with Des and Sinead than we would have seen, done, or learned if we had stayed in a hotel or hostel. The area they are in is beautiful and we had a great time visiting Howth and Malahide! The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the dogs are the cutest! This was a great end to our stay in Ireland!
