June-August is always above 30 degrees. September 27-32 degrees. October mild.

GEOGRAPHY
Cesmealti is centrally located between Izmir and Cesme (cheshme). From our house it is a 30 min drive to both Izmir and Cesme.
By motorway (toll) goes even faster.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
IZMIR
Izmir has about 4 million inhabitants and is easily reached by bus or minibus (dolmus), or car.
In Izmir allows unlimited shopping in the numerous shops but you can also take a look at a number of historic buildings.

CESME
The same applies to Çeşme, a car has advantages because there is much to see in the area covered. Cesme has a bay with beautiful white beaches.
It is one of the more luxurious places in Turkey where many celebrities stay. Alacati is located 6 km from Cesme, a historic village (Greek influence) with cozy streets and on Saturday the big market with many stalls (both food and clothing). Alacati is also one of the most popular surf spots in the world.

EPHESUS
You can make a day trip to one of the oldest historical sites in Turkey (About 3000 years ago) Ephesus. Nearby the home of the Virgin Mary after Christ. Also not far away are the beautiful vineyards of Sirince. This ancient village is beautifully situated in the hills and is definitely worth a visit.

These are just some of the attractions and we can also help you as a guide and chauffeur if you need it, reasonable in price.

OUR EASY REACH
The easiest way is by plane if you come from abroad. At the airport you can rent a car or we can pick you up if you find yourself more comfortable.
From the airport is about 45 minutes drive to our house. Be careful where you should turn, therefore we recommend to you to be picked up by us and if necessary later rent a car

Absolutely a great stay--Eric & Serpil treated me like family! Their house is close to the beach in Cesmealti and was in a very quiet and friendly neighborhood. The light-filled room is on the third floor with an impressive balcony, very much "studio" style, with a a nice view of the mountains and the beach. There isn't too much do to in the village, but you can get into nearby Urla and Izmir within an hour. Great for a short or extended stay!

When I first saw the picture of serpil and eric, I thought "oooh such a cute couple, seem like nice people". After doing some research, I realized that the town was a quiet Aegean vacation spot blessed with decent wind. So I chose to stay with them. This was a surprise stay for my husband's birthday. I can say with all my honesty that this was one of our most enjoyable and relaxing stays ever. We enjoyed Serpil and Eric's hospitality and company very much. Such lovely people with big hearts and high standard of serving the guests. They even prepared a birthday cake for Dirk! The area, çeşmealtı, is a nice quiet town with laid back locals. You do not need a beach to go swimming, you can hop in from the pier:) There is also a really good windsurfing camp/school 10 mins walking distance away. Really helpful professional people with smiley faces:) The rates for the rental and the classes are way lower compared to alaçatı or surrounding areas. The wind was pretty good throughout our stay. Overall, both serpil& eric and the town get 10 out of 10 from us:) we are looking forward to our next visit! Sizi çooook seviyoruz Serpil&Eric! Herşey için çok teşekkürler! Thank you guys for all the love and hospitality, we love you!!:):)

Serpil and Eric are wonderful hosts who make sure that you always feel at home. They are kind and generous people, and are great at sharing tips and their experiences with you. They have been very helpful with me around the house as well as about local activities and such. The room is spacious, bright and clean, with a wonderful view of the hills and the sea. It has everything you need from hairdryer to coffee machine. The terrace and the clean and modern bathroom are a plus. It's great for those who want a quiet stay away from the city. I definitely reccommend this place to those who look for excellent, affordable accommodation!

Cesmealti is a cool little town and location wise, this little spot can't be beat! 600m to the main walking Street (which is closed to vehicle traffic at night!) means you can head out and grab a great meal quite easily and leave the car behind! Seafood and meze restaurants lead the way, but a beer and a kofte are quick and easy to find as well. There is a night market at the end of this walking street that is worth checking out. The hosts are very kind and we felt welcomed right away. They understood that we were there to have a little getaway and while chatty, really respected our space! The space itself is the top level of their home. It's a well equipped studio with a kitchenette (water in the fridge, towels in the bathroom...) and a private balcony with a great view. A fan kept us cool at night, there is no a/c. The only downside to our stay was the bed; we found it quite firm and prefer a softer bed (but as we joked with the host, that's our soft backs!!!!). We would stay here again as it was great value and an ideal starting point for great day trips!

Response from Serpil & Eric:
John and his wife are great guests. Much respect for the house. Quiet and very friendly people. Always looking for new challenges. They love to explore the area. They also like to make jokes. We think they have a waterbed because our bed is medium hard and they love an extremely soft bed. Should they stay again in the future then we rent a waterbed for them. Furthermore, they keep the house very beautiful. Overall, good respectful guests and so recommended. Thank you for staying with us.

The studio was very clean and nicely decorated. The mountain/forest view from its terrace is amazing. Serpil and Eric are wonderful hosts, very responsive, organised and friendly. I simply felt like home. Don't miss the delicious Turkish breakfast made from local products. I wouldn't look for any other accomodation option if I go to the region again. Thank you very much Serpil and Eric!
