Cesmealti has a mild spring. March-April average 20-24 degrees. From May the temperature rises about 2 degrees per week.
June-August is always above 30 degrees. September 27-32 degrees. October mild.
Cesmealti is centrally located between Izmir and Cesme (cheshme). From our house it is a 30 min drive to both Izmir and Cesme.
By motorway (toll) goes even faster.
Izmir has about 4 million inhabitants and is easily reached by bus or minibus (dolmus), or car.
In Izmir allows unlimited shopping in the numerous shops but you can also take a look at a number of historic buildings.
The same applies to Çeşme, a car has advantages because there is much to see in the area covered. Cesme has a bay with beautiful white beaches.
It is one of the more luxurious places in Turkey where many celebrities stay. Alacati is located 6 km from Cesme, a historic village (Greek influence) with cozy streets and on Saturday the big market with many stalls (both food and clothing). Alacati is also one of the most popular surf spots in the world.
You can make a day trip to one of the oldest historical sites in Turkey (About 3000 years ago) Ephesus. Nearby the home of the Virgin Mary after Christ. Also not far away are the beautiful vineyards of Sirince. This ancient village is beautifully situated in the hills and is definitely worth a visit.
These are just some of the attractions and we can also help you as a guide and chauffeur if you need it, reasonable in price.

Eric, Serpil and Mini are so nice! We enjoyed staying with them very much. The flat was perfect for us and absolutely spotless. There was a washing machine, microwave, fridge and coffeemaker, which were very useful. It is a very quiet little town, some lovely restaurants along the waterfront and about a 10 min bus ride to Urla. There is a Migros supermarket very nearby, which was was handy and they took us to their local market after we arrived and helped us with our shopping. Getting to Ceseme and Alacata was quite easy and cheap although the buses only run every few hours. We really enjoyed having time with Serpil and Eric, they are a loving, interesting and dynamic couple. We had some delicious meals with them and they gave us loads of information and maps for the area. My aunt and I feel like they are family now :)
'A home from home'
I stayed in Turkey for six weeks travelling around the Izmir region for business and Serpil and Eric's home was by far the most comfortable, quiet, hospitable and scenic home that I stayed in. The studio was really spacious with a wonderful balcony and a great place to stay for relaxation. I even shared a 'meze' evening with them full of laughter and exquisite food prepared by Serpil.
The photos do not do their home enough justice. You must experience this yourself.
During my stay with Eric and Serpil , I felt welcomed , comfortable and relaxed and above all it felt that am staying with friends not with two people I just met , they are warm , funny easy going , very helpful , they were very accommodating to my need at all times , Max and Mini were as welcoming and warm as Eric and Serpil , I personally loved taking them for their daily walk .
Staying with Eric and Serpil made my stay in Çeşmealtı even more beautiful , I loved doing my yoga most days on the sea side which is 5 min walk from their house , the air is so clean and people are friendly , between my running , mountain trekking in the forest and the easy access to water whether for swimming or doing yoga made my holiday feels like am in heaven , I also have to mentioned the many cooking lessons that I had with Serpil upon my request were an added bounce , the lovely Turkish mezza and company that was accompanied with Eric playing guitar felt so special that I honestly did not want to leave .
Personally , I already planned to come back for my next holiday , so if you are a person who love to be surrounded by nature , you will enjoy the walk or trekking in the forest , swimming , boat trips to other island and even surfing , the area is so nice and simple , the people are friendly , Eric and Serpil loves animals and they have two beautiful dogs Mini and Max whom I adore so much .
The room is very nice , cozy , light and cool , the terrace has an amazing view of the sea and forest and is a good size , you have your own fridge , kettle , coffee maker and washing machine , there is wifi and its free so what more can I ask for ?!!! it was a perfect package and I got from it much more than just holiday .
I totally recommend to stay with Eric and Serpil , I honestly can say it was very sad for me to leave coz i enjoyed my stay so so much
We had a beautiful stay with Eric and Serpil. They are such generous hosts - stunning breakfasts and Serpil cooked a delicious dinner one evening too. The room is beautiful - perfectly equipped for a longer stay, though we were only there for a couple of nights. Eric picked us up from the dolmus (minibus) from Izmir and also drove us to see views and to a good starting place for a beautiful hike on along the hill tops. We ate great fish at one of the restaurants along the shoreline below the house and if we had stayed longer, we'd have taken a boat trip to see some of the islands around. Minnie and Max the dogs are friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely last few days in Turkey here before flying home from Izmir. Highly recommended!!
